True, but it wouldn't fit with their agenda of remaking or recreating live action versions of each of their classic animated films.

Also.. I highly doubt the animated re-release would have grossed over 500 million dollars as the live remake did.
Fair call...fair call.

These are the films that are currently in either pre-production or developmentals stages..

The Little Mermaid
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Peter Pan
The Sword in the Stone
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Lilo and Stitch
Pinocchio

At first, I hated this idea, but after seeing the trailer and everything I am pretty excited about this movie especially since it takes a lot form the Shanghai Kung-Fu movies I love. Plus, it has Donnie Yen who played Ip Man in the Ip Man movies and has been in many Kung-Fu movies I love, and he is a legit martial artist and Jet freakin Li. I can say I actually interested in this Disney remake.

Just think about what would happen if the redid that movie and still kept Savages in it? Twitter would go crazy.

I don't think they can make that story "woke appropriate" so it doesn't offend people.

So...what was the point of remaking it then?

Why not just re-release the original version in theaters?

:idk3:

Well...I was born in 1982...so that gives you some kind of a time frame.

I just don't remember Disney being a "thing" growing up...but then I'm
an Australian so maybe there is some kind of cultural disconnect there?

The only "animated" film I remember watching (& loving) as a "kid" was
Who Framed Roger Rabbit...which to this day remains one of my all time
favorite films.

Ah I got you. Speaking about growing up watching Horror and Sci-Fi my first was Terminator. Love that film till death, and being 9 or 10 boy did I grow up fast when Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese got it on.

The original Terminator is a fantastic film & I actually
prefer it to overly polished & somewhat "family friendly"
sequel.

I actually always enjoy films with a bit of "grime & grit"
to them.

Good idea to make this film live action. It actually makes sense. Mulan is not a perfect movie at all and remaking it would be a good idea as the story has potential. its also a film that would benefit from being live action.

Lion king remake made no sense at all. This on the other hand makes alot of sense.

It won't have a talking dragon and no songs so it might as well not all this a Disney remake at all. Gonna be v different and add to the story.

Whether it would be good or not...I dont know
