Forgot they were doing this. Pretty crazy it will be on the same platform you can watch RAW on in a few months

Lmao they had to reshoot the ending like 4 times but apparently Vince asked them to "tell the true story" before everything went down, will be shocked if they actually do but maybe that's why they're throwing it out well before Raw debuts

I'd be absolutely shocked if they even bring up a quarter of the shady shit he's done/been accused of tbh.

The upcoming Netflix documentary, “Mr. McMahon”, which releases on Sept. 25, won’t include an interview with Janel Grant, as we reported last week.

We’ve learned, however, that the filmmakers tried to arrange an interview to include the former WWE employee in the series.

“Netflix’s documentary group made initial outreach to Janel’s representation for an interview for this project,” a spokesperson for Janel Grant stated to POST Wrestling. “Despite this, no such interview came to fruition.”

The six-part docuseries was produced by Library Films, including executive producer Chris Smith. We contacted Library Films for comment on this report but didn’t receive a response.

However, a source with knowledge of the production confirmed that Grant was approached to participate in the series. She was asked to participate in the series multiple times, according to the source, and ultimately decided not to.

Grant is the plaintiff in an ongoing lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, which alleges she was the target of sexual assault and sex trafficking while she was under the control of McMahon. The lawsuit was put on hold in June pending a federal, possibly criminal, investigation involving U.S. Attorneys from the Southern District of New York.

Conrad Thompson also said this was a major burial of Vince but I'll believe it when I see it, not even bc of any Netflix/WWE relationship, but bc these Netflix docs tend to be highly sensationalized anyway. But ngl, what I've heard so far this sounds good and not a puff piece

Honestly, them having a whole episode that will largely be just about the Janel Grant case feels wrong. I don't think they should've touched that story, outside of a blip at the start and/or end of the whole documentary, simply because that chapter is far from over... and the fact that it's been announced like this, just gonna make a lot of people only watch the last episode, which means all the other stories of the past won't get the spotlight they should get.

That, together with what Chris said about these Netflix docs tending to be sensationalized as fuck, I can't see this documentary ending up being more than a mediocre series, that will just be the rope in a social media tug of war between the Vince defenders and Vince haters, while the curious non-Wrestling fans gonna forget it all after a couple of days, when the next story comes along.

I think it's okay with the caveat of waiting to see how the episode focuses on it. I personally think they don't need to touch the case all that much outside of the initial news breaking, it's still active so that's sketchy as you said. But it should mostly be about him being forced out finally (both times I guess but the one final time) and this company not being in his control after the first 5 episodes presumably show how he abused this control
