The most overrated movie in my mind is Gravity. It's a movie where nothing happens, followed by more nothing, followed by more nothing. You can watch the beginning, two completely random minutes from the middle, and the end and it'd be the same exact movie. The only saving grace is the space looks nice, but you know what I'd do if I wanted to see pretty pictures of space we're nothing happens? I'd Google image space. Not only did they waste my personal favorite actress Sandra Bullock by making her do nothing for two hours, but this drab somehow won an Emmy!
