I miss making Vince kiss Steph hahaha. I'm a sick man.

I crafted stories usually only around Vince sexually abusing divas and some babyface has to face him in the cell

I can't say I've ever really been 'disturbed' by a wrestling storyline. However, Vince originally wanted to do an incestuous angle with his own daughter Stephanie and the only reason it didn't happen is because she turned it down. Had they actually ran with that, that maybe would have been it.

I never heard this, when did Vince propose it?

Around 2003 when they did have the I Quit match (allegedly).

But go watch the promo package at the beginning of the No Mercy 2003 PPV where they have the I Quit match. Definitely creepy overtones. Vince wanted some of Steph's butt for sure. LOL WWE is such a freak show.

Hmm. I was actually remembering it being around 2006 or so for some reason, but 2002/2003-ish sounds about right. Especially since this was around the time they were trying to "recreate" some of the spark of the Attitude Era by trying out different controversial storylines (Katie Vick, Billy and Chuck's gay marriage, Al Wilson angle, HLA, etc.)

Choppy choppy the pee pee

This whole angle w/ Pillman/Marlina/Godust was weird and rapey. It was cut short by Pillman's death, but here is a sample of the kidnapping rapey fun.

Katie Lea and Paul Burchill incest storyline was bad.
The Edge/Lita/Matt Hardy storyline.
Any storyline that involves infidelity and/or incest disturbs me. There's nothing pleasant about seeing somebody you love suddenly doing something absolutely hate.

The one thing I hate about wrestling these days is the soap opera BS that broadcasts to the world that infidelity is no big deal.

I don't think I have ever been disturbed by a story line, simply because very seldom are the stories presented effectively enough for me to take them as anything other than storyline. Plus, it's different than a disturbing film because I am always able to keep a separation between the truth and fiction with wrestling.

I do remember watching the Undertaker vs Yokozuna match at the 1994 Royal Rumble and being really bothered by it. That was when 10 heels came in the ring and the Undertaker kept fighting back until the urn burst and all of the green vapor was pouring out of it. They eventually put him in a casket and he somehow appeared over the Titantron at the time (it was actually Marty Janetty). Now, I wasn't disturbed because I thought it was a disturbing story. But I was deeply bothered that a promotion would really insult their fans to the level that WWF was insulting us to present such an idiotic presentation to us. I was 18 at the time and my whole life up to that point was wrestling, so I took the entire thing very personally.

However, it does disturb me that anyone can actually look at some of these stories and actually in any realm of reality think "Hey, that's a good idea!" I mean, anyone who heard about Mae Young giving birth to a hand or the Big Show/Bossman funeral or the Ray Mysterio's son being Eddie Guerrero's son or Katie Vick or John Cena.... I mean the idea that someone actually put a stamp on these ideas and thought fans would like them...that is the truly disturbing part.

(and before anyone jumps on my case, the Cena thing is a joke)

Different reasons for these two, but both involve the Undertaker. 1) ultimate warrior stuffed in a casket. I realm thought he died. 2) taker and crucifixion.

Once he mentioned her parents being in the other room I had to skip to the end. As fake as it was that was horrid. I'm assuming this was at a time when I wasn't watching. (stupid ex boyfriend didn't like wrestling and I was too young to realize that should have been a red flag ;) )

I think I'd like to remain unfamiliar with that story line. Seems pretty stupid to me.

I've mentioned this before and I would like to refer to it again. The feud between the Undertaker and Vince Mcmahon was really disturbing at its height. A friend of mine, as I might have already said, told me that in Great Britain, there would've been an investigation into the declared threats. Also, how Vince sounded so serious about orchestrating arson, kidnapping, gang rape and public murder was so unsettling. I would say that was enough to call the feud one of the worst.

I was 16 but never really took the Undertaker/Wrestling as that serious.

Early Goldust would be shocking I think if you rewatched it now. THese days its outright homophobia and WWF had to tone it down even in the 90's.

With some things like the metoo movement I wonder if some of the things I never bought into that seriously in the 90's others did such as the AE, Nu Metal, gangsta rap etc at least in regards to attitudes towards womens, gays etc.
