Damn auto log out keeps ruining my posts!!

Mortal Kombat 9 looks pretty freakin' awesome. The last few games got boring really fast (but tbh, DC VS MK was fun at first) it's good that they are going back to the roots of the franchise, honestly 2D fighters totally whoop 3Ds ass... Give me some Street Fighter or MK over Tekken or Soul Calubur any day of the week. The faitalities look BRUTAL the censored MK games really pissed me off.

I also like playing withe the original characters, some of the characters from the newer games were fuckin' GAY!!

DEFINITELY!! Fuck Hsu Hao, fuck Noob-Smoke (stupidest fucking idea EVER!), and fuck Darius or whatever the fuck his name is!! The only characters I didn't mind much after the first 3 MK's were Frost, Kai (I think it was him, the blind guy), Fujin, Shujinko, and thats it! Well, I didn't mind Bo Rai Cho so much.

Bo Rai Cho was just plain funny (puking and farting, HILARIOUS). Shujinko was a complete waste, there is nothing noteworthy about him, except maybe his Hara-Kiri in MK: Deception. Kenshi (the blind swordsman) was and still is awesome. Just the fact that he uses Tai Chi as a fighting style gains him MAJOR points in my book.

Ermac was always my favorite. His moves were damaging as hell, his voice in the later games is fucking awesome, and just the fact that he is a collection of captured souls is totally badass.

Kenshi! That what his name! Thanks for correcting me. I've never liked Ermac. I always thought he was a waste. He did get a cooler look in the later games at least, and he's still better than Rain! (What a fucking waste of space!). The only thing I do like about Ermac is his history in the game. You do know how he became part of the MK universe right? (not his character backstory, but, his actual game creation and stuff)

Of all the newer characters, there were more bad than good, you guys already mentioned the good ones, Frost, Ermac and Kenshi was pretty beast and Bo rai Chi was really fun to play with, I had a blast using him and beating my friends' asses and they would get all pissed lol. I still say that old fashioned multiplayer trumps online. I'd much rather get to talk smack to my buddies face rather than through a fuckin' headset.

Nah, Mavado>>>>>>>>>>>>all the new characters since MKDA.
Even though he was awful in his first appereance, in Armageddon he was amazing. My favourite in the entire game probably.

Mavado and Kenshi were pretty much the only good characters past DA imo. The rest were largely unnecessary, especially chumps like Darrius and Daigon.

Thoughts on MK9: I hope create a character from Armageddon is back.

I'm glad they're putting more of an emphasis on story mode, since the fighting will be largely unchanged, story is essential from here on, as well as neato features like CAF.

The fatalities being back is awesome, much better than Armageddon's crap. Really wanted this back in.

Gotta say, i'm really looking forward to this game.

Agreed on the Create-A-Fighter mode, that was an awesome part of MK: Armageddon.

Gotta disagree on Mavado, though. I was never impressed with him. Those stretchy cords he used were just silly, I thought. And he uses the hookswords, which were Kabal's weapons. I know that in the story he stole them from Kabal, but I think they could have come up with something more original for the guy.

I just loved fighting with Mavado due to awesome combos. The rope things he had were pretty freakin' stupid though. Plus Kabal was super lame I thought, so giving the hookswords to someone cooler was all good to me.

Actually, Mavado's ropes in Armageddon were very useful, mostly to do ''hit and run'' hits and annoy your opponent. In DA they were useless, he had only one attack that was easily predictable.
His fighting stance is far better than Kabal's anyways.

I dunno, I think it might just be a matter of personal preference, I always preferred Kabal. Sun Bin was always a more effective stance to me than Long Fist.

Awesome! But like I said, it's a matter of personal preference. I always did much better with Kabal than Mavado. Mavado definitely had his advantages, though. I'm partial to the Hookswords.

Oh well, personal tastes count obviously. And there's little to do with that. If I like oranges and you like bananas, well, fine.

And btw, for the videos, maybe both players were both more trained using Mavado than Kabal, it doesn't necessarly make one better, still...

Looks slow and no better than any of the past three letdowns they've bastardized the MK name with. Sad that some think blood and violence equates to a good game, especially with the new Marvel vs Capcom coming out.
