Wouldn't the right comparison be Angle's third cousin Jack Swagger? He gets heat because he sucks, but NXT have molded a gimmick around it that has just been incredible to watch. NXT Creative are miracle workers.
That being said, I still don't think this character - as entertaining as it was on NXT - will be nearly as over on Raw. But we'll see how it goes. They won't even try with Adam Rose.
Ascension and Sami called up? Great for the Ascension who'll have something to do, but... I don't know on Sami. I like them on there, dammit. If they're intent on pushing NXT, it's better for him to be probably the top star over there instead of just another debut on Raw.

What in the fuck does WWE see in Bo Dallas?
I feel the same way about Breeze hate his model gimmick. What in the fuck does WWE see in Bo Dallas?

It's probably in Wyatt's contract, as long as we have him we'll have to deal with Bo.:
You are the mark to end all marks brolol. You make smackdown threads bi-monthly to pity the fans who watch it before asking if you should watch it now. You are the fact of #Teamoptimism, and I bo-lieve in you :letroll:You and me both, brother.
And for those telling me he can wrestle, I couldn't give a damn. I'm not one of those fans who can't enjoy someone if their above-average in the ring, I need to enjoy the character itself. I get bored immediately watching someone I don't care about wrestle, unless they have Cesaro-levels of ring talent.

I think everyone will agree that Bo's main appeal isn't ring work at all, it's his character. He's a delusional heel who thinks everyone loves him, and he's very good at that role. The problem is whether his gimmick will translate well to the main roster or not; it worked that well on NXT because he was, indeed, an annoying babyface, and they organically changed that into a heel gimmick (since the crowd already hated him). Since the main roster crowd doesn't know Bo at all, it's going to be hard to make it work, but if they're able to do it, he's going to be a very entertaining midcard act. Have you watched any of his heel NXT work?
I agree. Although it's hard to move these characters from one crowd to another, the packages are a sign that they know how to do it, because it's a pretty good way to start, and I think there's a good chance the gimmick may click. It's just that it could go both ways at this point, and although it seems like they'll do it well, you never know. But it's a relief that they've started off perfectly.I have a slightly different viewpoint on this. While it's dangerous (from a storytelling standpoint) to mess with an organically-created/organically-transformed character, I can tell you that I was not watching NXT when Bo was an annoying babyface. And I can tell you that his "annoying delusional heel who thinks he's a babyface" character works very well even for those of us who were not aware of his character's babyface roots.
The promos they've shown for his arrival in WWE have been perfect and I think he'll do well by coming in and playing a similar role on the main roster, similarly to the way Kurt Angle first debuted in the WWE. Obviously, Bo won't have Kurt's Olympic background, but the "inspirational motivational speaker" aspect of those promos has been perfect.
