"Monsters Stuck In Her Head"

REC OFF
On a sunny day, the wind blows leaves and flower petals through the air of a backyard garden with a maze. The flare from the sun is almost blinding and yet, everything appears to be somewhat foggy and light. Lying in the grass, with red roses and violets surrounding her is a girl with pale skin, a light purple dress, and rainbow coloured hair. It’s Nova Taylor. Appearing to be at bliss, she smiles with her eyes closed, letting her bare skin be tickled by the grass.
“This may be our garden, but we do want you to be free to grow in every way possible.”
Rushing near her is a gray cat with a bow that matches her dress. The kitten picks at the grass and flowers, flicking its tail happily. The cat slowly crawls on Nova where it sits comfortably on her lap and softly purrs. Opening her eyes, Nova doesn’t say a word, but giggles as she strokes the cat’s fur, before picking it up and standing.
“I think it’s time for you to become what you so desperately want to be…”
Walking through the garden, Nova smells the flowers along the path, being joyful of the experience. At the end of the path, we see a man in a suit. With pale skin and a hulking frame, we can make it out as Slate Bass. Peculiarly, he is smiling as he holds two glasses of filled with strawberry daiquiri in his hands. Meeting him, Nova too shares a smile. She kisses the cat on the forehead before gently putting it down, taking the fruity drink from Slate.
“We want you to reach your potential”
Joining Slate Bass in a walk, Nova and he head towards an area with a fountain. With a sculpture of an angel and a demon, both sides are spouting water and glistening in the sun. At the edge of it, cradling her daughter in her arms is Eden, giving a grin as she sees her husband and Nova approach her. Even the gray kitten from before returns and sits at Eden’s feet.
“Rainbows are very pretty, aren't they? Wouldn't you just like to be able to have one in your back pocket?”
There is a camera set up across from them as Nova and Slate stand on either side of Eden. Smiling at Keres, Nova sticks her finger out for Keres to grab it and giggle. Then, Nova, Slate and Eden all turn to the camera, all with smiles, as there is a camera flash.
“Your home is here…”
The picture taken appears in a frame and slowly falls down. As it lands, the frame shatters into multiple pieces…
And Nova wakes up.
Waking up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily, Nova Taylor is in her bedroom, frightening her cat, Hayley, upon waking. It was all just a dream, a horrible nightmare. Her forehead still bandaged after the assault, Nova winces and grabs it, feeling it sting. Feeling around her, Nova grabs her old teddy bear, a brown one, and holds it close to her chest. She stutters.
“J-Just…”
She takes a long deep breath, feeling on edge as she says to herself…
“I need to get my mind off this…”
Falling back down, Nova, still on edge after her nightmare, tries to close her eyes to fall back asleep, very unlikely to do so tonight.
