I didn't watch much back then, and I haven't even seen that much footage. It was probably good. I think its most of his new work that is really dry for me.

It was 2005 he wasn't even semiretired yet. He would have had plenty of "amazing" WM matches.

Oh my god the whole point of the matches was if his opponent could end the streak.

Anyway, his babyface act got stale this year because wwe was insistent on keeping it going for no reason.

They only started counting the "streak" the year before when Kane tried to end it. It hadn't yet become this dumb thing it is now.

Had Orton ended it in '05 he could have matches that had actual angles, real stories and a point beyond simply going over his opponents.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about. He had all of that except for the previous year. Undertaker's matches have saved WrestleMania every year

Actually you have no idea what you're talking about. Watch the promotion package for Undertaker vs. Ric Flair or the package for Undertaker vs. A-Train and Big Show. There was literally no mention of the opponents wanting to end his streak. They only even realized he was ten and zero when he defeated Ric Flair. Even then they didn't push it the next year as he was given a dumb handicap match. Kane was the first one to mention ending the streak, but even then the angle was more about Undertaker being buried alive the year before. The real streak angle started with Randy Orton wanting to end the legend of the Undertaker. Had he been succeeded no one would have ever cared that he had 11 dumb wins at the event. As for saving WM every year it's usually the reason I skip it. I don't need to pay $60 for a guaranteed outcome with no suspense.

No it's for the wrestling clinic he puts on with his opponent. And Randy made people care about it thus creating the awesomeness for all these years
