The fans at the House Show continue to cheer as the loser of the just finished opening match, makes his way behind the curtain at the top of the entrance ramp.
Then "We Die Young" by Alice in Chains hits the arena as the fans begin to cheer and gold pyro emits from the top of the titan-tron, raining down on the stage. Ryan Harrison steps out onto the middle of the stage, head down, with the effect of the gold pyro falling over Ryan Harrison like a waterfall. Ryan than lifts his head, looking out at the fans and the ring infront of him, before confidently making his way down the ramp. Ryan slaps the hands of a few fans on either side of the entrance ramp before turning his attention to the ring ahead. Ryan rolls into the ring, stands up and climbs to the top of the nearest turnbuckle. Ryan points out into the crowd at all the fans and than points back to himself before jumping back down to the ring.
Jessica Lock: Standing in at five feet nine inches, from New York City, New York, “The Rising Star” Ryan Harrison!
A few more fans cheer, whilst there are some mixed boos from a few fans throughout the crowd. Ryan takes the microphone from Jessica Lock, who then leaves the ring. Ryan then looks around at the crowd before lifting the microphone to his lips.
Ryan Harrison: "Alright people, less than a few days has passed since our first event and let me just say that the Mayhem of the IWF is still very much, alive and kicking!"
The crowd cheers at this.
Ryan: "Exactly. Now, good things come to those who chase them. And you want to hear a good thing? I have been chosen to Main Event the second Monday Night Mayhem. That's right, now if I were a lesser man, kind of like my former self, than I would scream, conduct myself in a manner that is both destructive and arrogant. But no! The old Ryan Harrison is no more. Like the IWF, change has come about, to myself and the way I see things. You know, some people have asked me and a lot of people have questioned me, 'Ryan, what is with the new attitude? Why have you changed? How can you change?' Well I have responded to those questions with the same simple answers that I will share with you peeps in the crowd. IWF fans, the new attitude was a necessity. Because you see, I truly was not happy. I was forcing myself to believe, constantly telling myself that I was perfection. Now Ryan Harrison is good at what he does, that I won't lie about. But I am definitely not perfection. And once I removed that lie, once I withdrew the veil from over my eyes, I could finally see the flaws that had hindered me, both professionally and personally. I could understand that I was not happy; my success both in and out of the ring had been almost little to nothing. And it was time for a change. I simply needed to change, I needed to become a better person because the person that I originally was, was not working in any sense. So that's why, I was determined to change, determined to become a better person. I worked hard, and I'm still working hard; just as I'm still working hard to win my matches on my path to becoming the IWF Champion."
Ryan stops and walks around the ring before raising the microphone to his lips again.
Ryan: "And in that path there are many, many people that want to bring me down, such as my opponent in the Main Event of the upcoming Mayhem. I, Ryan Harrison, have the opportunity to step into the ring with one of the darkest, yet most celebrated stars in the IWF. That's right peeps, I, Ryan Harrison, have the opportunity to face Captain Enigma, Mr. Mystery. Whatever you want to call him ... I get to face him, the dark one. I was chosen to face him and you know what, perhaps it wasn't just for ratings. Perhaps there were other reasons at hand when this decision was made. Maybe the heads of the IWF understand my new attitude, maybe the creative leaders of the IWF understand my new qualities, maybe the decision makers of the IWF understand my new desire. Maybe the IWF want me to face Mr. Mystery in this Main Event for a number of reasons.
“For one, my desire is to be the Champion of the IWF, my strongest desire is to be the head of this show and to finally give the IWF a Champion that they actually want. Come on!? Does anybody, actually want A Dam of Freedom, trying to save you?"
Crowd: "No!" Meanwhile a few lone fans amongst the groups scream, "Yes!"
Ryan: "And as such, does anyone actually want A Dam of Freedom as your Champion, Main Eventing your shows and Pay Per Views, leaving a bad taste in your mouth after the events you have just paid to watch, come to a close?"
Crowd: "No!"
....
Lone Fans: "Yes!"
Ryan: "Of course not! Now, I've still got a long, long way to go until I deserve to be your IWF Champion but I believe that once the next Monday Night Mayhem comes around, I will prove to Captain Enigma, to the people in the back and especially to the fans in the crowd that said no, that I, Ryan Harrison am anew. That I have been refreshed and rejuvenated on my road to the IWF Championship."
Once again Ryan stops, cracking his neck before raising the microphone to his mouth again.
Ryan: "But come on, let us be honest. The people in the back, the decision makers of the IWF were not just thinking about my desire and my passion for the IWF Championship. No! That would just be selfish of them. No, there was a second, deeper cause for me being selected as Mr. Mystery's opponent in the Main Event. That reason is very heart felt and really, quite emotive from the IWF; yet also a little bit selfish. They see that I have changed, that I have removed the veil that was once tarnishing my career and have returned to the IWF refreshed and dedicated to my cause. The IWF want me to face Captain Enigma. They want me to help him. Mr. Mystery lives behind his own veil. He lives in the darkness. His best friends are The Joker and a Crack Addict from off the street. By helping him, by removing his own veil, maybe Captain Enigma will grow more of a personality, be more of a delight, and you know, between you peeps and I, help the Marketing, Merchandise and Revenue side of things. Shh! That's a secret for those in the arena and the people who watch this on youtube.
“But come on you IWF big guns! Come on! I originally came into this company, a young talented star, looking to fix people. And instead, with my time off, I fixed myself. But I don't want to fix Mr. Mystery. In all honesty, if you want to fix the image of some of the crazy people in this company, send A Dam of Freedom. Hell, he's putting his business out there; especially as he is no longer the Champion. I, admittedly want that Championship. I even admit that I want to be the greatest Champion in IWF history past, present or future, and with a new IWF this is highly possible. But, to firstly win that IWF Championship, I am going to have to beat every single challenger that the IWF put in my path until they think that I, Ryan Harrison am worthy. And you know what, I want to do it, and I await each challenger. Light hearted as I may be now, if you want to understand how much more focused I am, please ask Jayson Raven and Mr. De la Hoya. One man I couldn't beat in the past whilst I lived a life of lies and the other a man who though he admittedly performed very well, was still not up to scratch. I defeated these two men, and if you want to review my match, you will see that I was a different entity. Dedicated, focused, a Rising Star the IWF just could not ignore."
A smile moves across the face of Ryan Harrison before he speaks again.
Ryan: "I finally clipped the wings of that damn Raven. He is gone, removed; no more, evermore. And I have bigger fish to fry in the form of Captain Enigma. Some people may be looking at me thinking that I'm not taking you seriously, that I'm being foolish, even a little bit childish. Well let me tell you, things couldn't be more from the truth. I am not an idiot Mr. Enigma; and I realise at this current point, you are very much a different game to the two men I just mentioned and previously faced. You've had success, you've wrestled some of the biggest names in this company, adding both losses and victories and more importantly, you have left an everlasting mark on the IWF. But that my dear Enigma is exactly the point. You are a different game and a new entity. Believe me; I look forward to the challenge. I look forward to hearing from you, to hear what darkness you speak of, what you’ll try and make me believe before we meet. I look forward to meeting you in the ring as we both try and get the better of each other and I most definitely look forward to the aftermath. What will we create, you and I, both now and into the future, in a new but strangely familiar IWF? I welcome the Challenge, I welcome the so-called enigma that you push to the world, I welcome that which you seek to bring. I welcome the new! Because I want difference, I want change, just as the fans of the IWF want change. And you Mr. Enigma, for me, are the change that continues my movement towards the IWF Championship. What?
Ryan holds his hand up to his ear.
Ryan: “Ah … Peeps, I've just been informed that there is a match on the cards and there are two men waiting for me to shut up. Well no worries, Mr. Enigma, fans, IWF; let said movement begin. Peeps, I bid you all adieu."
Ryan hands the microphone over to the Ring Announcer, as "We Die Young" by Alice in Chains begins to play over the PA System. Ryan climbs one of the turnbuckles. Facing the crowd, Ryan points out at the crowd, before drawing his arms in and points at himself. Ryan gets down and runs over to the other side of the ring, climbs that turnbuckle and pulls the same actions as before. Ryan gets down before rolling out of the ring. Ryan makes his way up the entrance ramp, slapping the hands of a few fans on either said of the ramp before reaching the top of ramp, and heading behind the curtain to the back.
