My fantasy booking scenario would be to book a Casino Ladder Match for World's End, yes this is pretty much copying the exact way MJF won but I'd have The Joker be the Devil again, with the masked goons attacking and helping the Joker win in mask.
In the main, MJF overcomes the odds and his injury to beat Joe by the skin of his teeth - but is in bad shape. The Joker's goons attack MJF. The Joker comes out - cashes in his poker chip then and there, beats the battered and bruised MJF for the title. Joker unmasks and its Adam Cole and the goons are revealed to be The Kingdom + a returning KOR.
Maybe not ideal because it relies on the overdone MITB scenario and also relies on Cole's injury to have been not as bad as made out to be (which I still am on the side that this is the case) - but given the situation, that's what I'd go with if it was possible.
