It's a very limited comedic role but it works. I find humor in it as he's imitating Miz's moves on the apron. When they do ultimately feud, the only concern I have is that his gimmick will be in disarray again. Since he is in such a supporting role to The Miz, it makes me wonder how they would make him stand apart without giving him an entirely different gimmick all over again.
