Yes. He came up with it on-screen and also said in his second book that he and Brian Gerwitz came up with it together in real life. But the original conception was a Hollywood Dream Ladder Match, where whoever won had whatever wish they wanted granted. The original idea was RVD winning it (before he got injured) and wanting the old ECW to be resurrected.

I think that the MiTB Pay-Per-Veiw was a dumbass Idea from WWE just to get more of the Moola in Vince's big-ass bank account, and make us waste more money to either buy tickets (plus mech., and conssesions), or watch a two hour of jobbers and mid-card titles. instead of leaving it the way it was at 'Mania, because stars like Zack Ryder could use it to get a push (like CM Punk with the WHC), but noo, Vince's the "genius" around Titan Towers and he "has" to make a Pay=Per-View on a match that's already scheduled for the Grandest Stage of them all.... fucking stupid... anyone else agree?
Not like you buy the PPV anyways.

I feel that the MITB Pay-Per-View was a shitty concept with it being a gimmick pay-per-view and all, but it seems to be one of the best if not the best pay-per-views WWE releases each year so I would say keep it around. With that being said, I think changing the name (because gimmick PPV names are the worst) and cutting it down to one MITB Ladder match would be better than putting it back on Mania because Mania gets enough PPV buys as is, while more would be good, WWE needs to get other PPV's some more buys, so putting a match you get once a year, I'd be more likely to buy both of the PPV's instead of just Wrestlemania

I would have the match at Mania because the wins are more memorable & gets the winner over in a big way IMO. And if WWE want a biggish PPV in between Mania & SummerSlam Bring back King Of The Ring, its a bigger deal in my eyes.

Business standpoint says "make it it's own PPV". But this isn't about business, we're fans and you want our opinions.

My vote says to bring it back to Wrestlemania. To sound like an Attitude Era curmudgeon back in my day Wrestlemania felt special. Maybe I was just new to the "sport" at the time but at Wrestlemania 24 and 25 it was this big "showcase of the immortals" in large part because of the massive variety it had. You had Money in the Bank, celebrity involvement, interesting gimmick matches, hot feuds, the Streak, and then some usually well-built title matches. Last few years it's just been "match, match, match, concert, match, streak match, gimmick match, main event". It really feels like a regular PPV again, and think adding Money in the Bank to it would certainly make it feel special yet again.

But you know I'm not going to make a long post without ranting about Creative so here you go: If you put Money in the Bank back in Wrestlemania, that'll make Wrestlemania great again... but it'll probably destroy our interest in the July PPV, lord knows we'll need a great show to get us back interested after the annual creative lull passes and the usual creative lull re-starts. We don't need a regular PPV since they can't make one interesting, so keeping Money in the Bank there is probably for the best.

Money in the Bank as a stand-alone PPV always delivers. Remember last year the card last year looked downright horrific and the PPV delivered in a BIG way. A chaotic match with a bunch of high-flyers that ends with 2 new stars possibly being created every year (and there's still optimism, right Bryan?) obviously makes me really excited as a fan... yeah, think I'll change my vote to keeping it as it's own PPV.

Definitely keep at is its own PPV. One of the most underrated shows of the year. Besides WM has enough going on.

Pay Per View, because we usually get two rising stars from it if there is a Smackdown and Raw one,

But I also do like the Wrestlemania one because it's not as predictable on who and when they will cash it in on.

I want to bring it back at Wrestlemania. I think there should be one winner because you never know what title they're going to cash in for.
