Great One

He really didn't seem that fat anymore recently when he wrestled on SD. He could still do a moonsault too.

He was fat because his intestines exploded or something, but now he's back in shape and one of the better all round workers out there. Considering he's done nothing for a good while, he's also surprisingly over.

Matt hasn't pigeonholed himself into strictly a spot wrestler like Jeff did. When you see a Jeff Hardy match, everyone's going to want to see him do the Swanton, basically kill himself. Matt can do that too, but he's more rounded and can fit with any style, IMO. It isn't as entertaining, but at least Matt's matches aren't completely the same.

One BIG thing WWE missed post WCW. The whole NWO reunion thing sucked so much. I think it's ridiculous how they missed a potential DX vs NWO feud back in 2002-2003, knowing what would happen eventually. I know that HHH was a big heel, but it would have been a great draw.

Matt: Fundamentally sound; can wrestle a decent match and cut a decent promo, but he's still pretty dull.

The difference between his and Christians ECW title reigns speaks volumes. Both called upon to do the same thing, IMO C' has succeeded where Matt failed.

Mattitude was sweet, his fued with Edge was also and his brief heel turn would had the potential to be great had it not been for the broken hand, BUT IMO he's been in need of character development - or more specifically character EVOLUTION - for years because being a Hardy is not a character/gimmick in itself.

Seriously... After over 10 years in the spotlight.... 'Who' is he?

Jeff's brother.

I feel sorry for Matt because he never got the opportunity to show us who he is. Almost like WWE intended for the Hardy Boyz to be nothing but a "breakout" opportunity for Jeff

Big deal if Matt was/is fat. He still can wrestle as any of the "in shape" stars. Are we still judging people based on looks? Way to ruin the business, guys. :smh

But anyway, that vid that G1 showed was super epic! I totally thought that was real at the time, and he freakin' owned. I like him a lot, he deserved a chance then and he deserves it now. I mean, he had a ready made feud with Punk over the title after Jeff left and WTF? He's jobbing to some no-talent, no-heat assclown like Eric Escobar. It's ridiculous how he's been held back for God knows what reasons.

"The WWE can KISS MY ASS!!!!!!!!" :y:

Matt Hardy is probably the #1 dropped ball in the entire company.

- MATTITUDE.....one of my favorite heel gimmicks EVER. He was fucking brilliant as V1 and WWE did nothing about it.

-His heel turn on Jeff last year...they did absolutely nothing with it... he finally seemed to be coming into his own...new look ect and they did nothing with it. Instead they had CM Punk finish off his momentum and take out Jeff...who's momentum is now dead as well... (OMFG, if Jeff cursed?!?!? lol)

-His ridiculous unexplained face turn a few months back was another perfect chance to feud with with Punk for the title...and nothing.

But I'm sorry, the guy is a sloppy mess in the ring lately and has really let himself go. Also, if maybe Matt should learn to give it a rest with the whole Twitter thing..lol.

WWE hates Matt Hardy. I've never seen someone take so much crap and keep on going. He's had every opportunity, but they never gave him the ball to run with. He could have been great on SD when he was fired from Raw a couple of years ago, right around this time, when they needed a face. He still was automatically over, and should've gotten rewarded for the feud of the year in 2005. It's all politics, I guess.

I want to requote myself and not fall upon deaf ears, even though it doesn't concern a Hardy...

Yup, his feud with Edge could have been the break out feud for both of them, not just Edge.
I'm shocked Matt has never gone to TNA. But honestly, he's still one of the higher paid guys in the company and judging by pictures of his house and cars... he's doing pretty damn good for himself.

Yeah, I honestly thought back in 2006 he was gonna jump ship. But the WWE keeps him around and he has one of the bigger salaries, something i do not think TNA could do for him.

Well... Seeing as you said it twice and all.... : P

The main prob wasn't that HHH was heel, becasue he wasn't until he'd turned on Shawn prio to Summerslam 2002... The prob, although I beleive they could have talked him round at that stage cos he must have been thinking about returning by then, was that HBK was still 'on the shelf'.
