The more i think about about it, I dont think the Million dollar give away has much to do with the ratings. I think its going to be one big storyline. Im sure they did it for marketing and publicity too. Now they have a list on their fans address's and Emails and don't tell me they aren't going to use that. It's been all over the news so i think its a ploy to try and get some of the attitude era fans back as well. But mainly i think its one big storyline, for the summer.

Not really sure where its going to lead, but i have a few ideas.

- Vince gives away all of his money and in the poor house, thus having to sell his shares of the company, reducing him to a regular guy. I think this would be a very interesting idea to play around with. Vince pretend to act cool, but everyone still hates him. Another power struggle as Vince must reclaim his throne, you know.

- Ted Dibiase steps in and purchases Raw for his son. This one may be a bit unlikely, but kinda strange how all this came together the same week. Or they could do something along the lines

- Maybe Cryme Tyme steals the money or something and Vince cancels the give away, and goes after their head.

- Money ends up missing in some way.

What do you guys think is going to happen? Is it all one big storyline? If so, what kind of theorys do you have.

I honestly dont have a clue about it, but vince is already pissing off a lot of fans. The last 2 weeks he said that he would give money to the fans, everybody starts to cheer and thinks that theres gonna be money faling from the ceiling and then vince says at the first week, that he would be giving it next week and he actually expects people to cheer then? He does know that the people who sit there at that moment wont be at raw the next week right? Anyway I think this whole story is just gonna end up incredibly lame.

I reckon it is one of two things

1. A storyline like you mentioned or...

2. Real but still just a tax dodge lol.

Actually i think you misunderstood. What i thought, the first week, he said He was going to give away 1,000,000 dollars, with the details to be released in the following weeks. Then the following week he said to register. He never said a start date. The fans in attendence wouldn't even be able to get i dont think, you need a code they have online or something.

They are stretching it out, but i mean, im sure they want a large pool of fans doing starting this.

BTW, a funny detail, go to Dailymotion and check Raw, and you can see that the money has the face of Vince Mcmahon on it. It can also be seen by a couple of seconds on the Raw rebound on ECW.

Still, it would be too genious from the WWE to pull that off, and considering that in the past storylines we have waited too much and ended up with the basic, I am not getting my hopes up. Still, there is something weird about this give away, why would Vince think that old fans would return just because his giving his money away

On WWE.com as well, McMahon has his face on the money...

And you guys do know where that goes right? It's obviously fake, but it's getting attention and should be a good publicity stunt, :y: I mean why not... people are talking about it and many are actually signing up for it. Storyline wise this has to be a joke beace Vince McMahon is the bad guy and he says through his over boosted ego that he is going to hand out a Million Dollars to a random fan who tunes into Monday Night RAW, doesn't sound too real to me. Just look at it this way: two weeks from now, Vince reveals that it's fake and the fans don't deserve his money, McMahon gets heat for a future storyline?

His character gets heat and throws in for a solid feud with a babyface superstar set from SummerSlam to Survivor Series, this is exactly what's going to happen people. There are going to be two major things at the same time; Attention from the fans and a good build up for a future feud which involves Vince McMahon in some way or the other. Sounds like cheap attention grabbing from the fans of WWE but it's good nonetheless, it's all about money! :shifty:

Well, Vince himself admitted that it was for Ratings (at the press conference) saying that he wants to attract more viewers, and get the overall ratings up...
But, I know that he will be giving away the money, and that part is real.
Now, about these storylines... I never thought of it like this before, but now that you mentioned it, it actually makes sense...
What if like, ric Flair enters, and wins, becaue hes not an employee, and wins the money, and buys part of WWE, lol, that could work.
Anyways, I dont know what the storyline would be, but if they have one, it would be a good idea...

Montana.. You're giving Vince waaay to much credit. The way I see it, this is just Vince trying to find a way to boost ratings without actually having to do any real work. I'm glad that the ratings haven't increased all that muuch, and I hope that trend continues. Maybe, just maybe Vince will then realize that the problem with the ratings lies in the underwleming storylines and feuds that the fans are getting.

True, but what Montana is saying is maybe this is a storyline... Like, it will turn into one. And if it does, that would be the solution to the bad storylines, because itd be a great storyline...

If nothing happens, and it's just money giveaways, sure, its good we get money, but I agree with you that its just a lame ratings boost attempt... But if this does turn into a storyline, then its great. Thats why Im saying you cant completely write off Vince yet and say he needs to "wake up" and stuff.

I dont think it will be a face turn for Vince. It is going to be a heel turn by someone. I think its going to be some type of unseen return or debut. Some new dark character that despises Vince and sabotaged the stage, or they could play it that they threw the light. Doesnt explain the collapsing dollar bill tho.

All I can really say is that whatever is going to happen it is going to be big. And the Draft has set it all up. Just like last year. Like I have been saying in other threads, lets hope someone doesnt come along and fail a drug test or go on a killing spree. Maybe we can see the great Vince storylines from yesteryear

Maybe the return of Regal. Regal might play a role in this. But if they dont want Regal yet, then DiBiase would be the solution to heel the backstage up.

Chaos will happen imo, leading to a heel faction and that heel faction will dominate most of the titles for sometime.. like what Evolution did in the 2004-2005 era.

I didnt actually see the event, but it sounded pretty lame. The wwe had horrible luck with this last year, and this year, my first thought was "come on, vince again?" Why not have something happen to Kennedy, or Cena or someone that needs a interesting storyline. I don't really have much interest in this now, unless it turns into a "who did it" which i always like.

I really dont have a clue who could be behind it, maybe SHane or Taker?
