No thanks. He is way past his prime and I doubt that he would be able to pick up the skills required to keep the other wrestler safe, I don't think he could be trusted in the ring. I don't mind him doing the odd appearance here and there but I definitely don't want to see him wrestle.

Unless he could go full early 2000's Tyson on the mic which they obviously will not allow that I do not want to see him in a regular speaking role. Would be horirble.

I wouldn't trust him to be able to stick to a script either, everything would have to be pretaped backstage segments to ensure that they can edit out the crap.

I guess everyone suggesting that he should have a role that follows lots of dialogue and scripts missed his last stint in WWE. He didn't talk much and with good reason. I think it's cute that Tyson wants to be involved with WWE (unless he was joking), but that shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone. What he did in 1998 was excellent, but leave it in 1998. His involvement back then was a perfect fit for the time it happened, and it wouldn't make much sense to bring him back now.

Dude would get over in WWE, even today. Just follow the Tank Abbot matches and realize all you need to get over in wrestling is a legit background and just beat the shit out of people.

Got to agree. It's like Evan Bourne among so many others...the mic skills aren't there. In fact, I can't stand to hear him talk...no matter how many people he beats the shit out of.

People like Mike Tyson don't need to throw out promos like The Rock, people just have an aura around them and he is one of those people.

Some people are jkust captivating, look at Brock Lesnar, the guy sounds like a meathead, but he gets attention. Also, Tyson now is doing one-man shows as we speak.

Tyson v Big Show would be a great freak show match for Mania.

Anything other than a one-off would be poor though, the guy is an out of shape mid 40's washout.

His "aura", since we're calling it that, is not what it was in 1998. He had just bit Evander Holyfield's friggin ear off only a couple months before showing up in WWE. He hasn't done anything "dangerous" in years. His "aura" right now is that of an old dude that used to be dangerous. You could still sell the fuck out of some barbecue grills with his name, much like George Foreman has been doing, but perpetuating the "tough guy" act is not in his best interest at his age.

We've already seen that except it was a guy who was considerably smaller, in his prime and actually relevant at the time being.

This was pretty much gonna be my response. Right now he is just a old shell of himself who is retired and doesn't have much name value. I mean yea he could probably still knock somebody out but he doesn't have that fear of god presence that he once had anymore which was his appeal.

The guy also only said, he would do anything he could to help them, it wouldn't mean he could wrestle, also, he may not be in fighting shape, but he also isn't fat by a long stretch. He looks in great shape for a guy his age, and he can talk better than most of the guys in the current WWE roster. Not to mention the nostalgia factor he would bring in. Not saying this would happen, I'm just saying it wouldn't be a bomb or anything like that.
