Benoit's Journey

I have come across, the journey of one Chris Benoit. This is a fairly long read which will give us some insight on the Rabid Wolverine. Some of the credit goes to HHH_greatness.

In the beginning, there existed Chris Benoit. Benoit is, in our terms, GOD. He is neither dead nor alive, but simply 3REAL! At this point, Benoit had only achieved 3REAL, believe it or not. The only thing wrong with this situation was that Benoit was ALONE. There’s was nothing, nobody to cripple, nobody to make TAP OUT. Benoit’s only weakness was his thirst for crippling (which isn’t a weakness at all). Thus, Benoit ripped out His spinal disc, and created a being called, Kurt Angle. Angle was a prodigy, and quickly obtained 2.9REALness. Benoit, seeing the threat that He created, forbade Angle to ascend to the next level. In turn, Angle developed his unique REALness, channeling all the opposite energies of Benoit. Angle dubbed this REALness, UNREALness. Secretly, he obtained UN3REALness, and quickly mastered his own techniques, namely the Moonsault and the Angle Lock. These were exactly opposites of the Diving Headbutt and the Sharpshooter, Benoit’s own trademark moves. They shared many of the same traits, namely the mastery of the German Suplex, a deadly move that was used for crippling, and the Belly to Belly suplex, a fatal technique that caused spinal discs to snap in 4.

Benoit, tipped off by his REALness, sensed a power similar in strength, technique and REALness. Benoit immediately found traces of his 3REALness, in Kurt Angle and confronted him. Kurt Angle, being UN3REAL attacked Benoit Himself, with the viciousness of an Olympic Gold Medalist, and the aggression of a wrestling machine. The battle between REAL and UNREAL had begun. It took 6 days, with multiple German suplexes, Belly to Bellys, and godlike amateur wrestling. The end was near for Benoit, when Angle dodged a diving headbutt, and Angle signaled for the Angle Slam. Benoit, groggily getting up from channeling His REALness into His diving headbutt, gets lifted up for an Angle Slam!

Angle’s angle slam, channeled with all the UN3REALness he could muster, broke Benoit’s friggin’ neck! Although it seemed unbelievable, it’s TRUE! It’s damn TRUE! Things were looking grim for Benoit. Angle, claiming victory, turned his back to Benoit, which is ultimately the biggest mistake of his entire existence. That, and his jump to TNA, which is another story for another day. What happened next can’t be adequately described by anyone, but I’ll give it a shot.

The crippler has been crippled, and all seemed lost to Benoit. His REALness flashed before his eyes, and the battle seemed over. Benoit was done, he was out, and Kurt Angle would rule as the new GOD. Little did Angle know that when he channeled his UN3REALness, he would channel it into Benoit. Thus, the combined energy, created a new force. Although not knowing what it was, it was his only hope. With this new-found energy, Benoit paved the way for a new technique, what we know as today, the Crippler Crossface.

It was thought that adrenaline rushed through Benoit… but in reality, research later showed it was Benoit’s ascension to the next level, 4REAL! With this new-found power, Benoit quickly overcame his disability, and set his eyes on his prey. I almost felt sorry for Kurt Angle because he was probably the only man ever that felt the true godlike power that is Chris Benoit. Angle only had time to turn around. All he saw was Benoit lunging at him like a Rabid Wolverine, ready to lay down a destruction of epic proportions. In the next instant, he was hoisted up for a 4REAL German suplex. Benoit, turning this into his patented Rolling German Suplex, immediately locked on the deadly move that was the CRIPPLER CROSSFACE! With Angle’s arm trapped by Benoit’s legs and no rope break to stop the searing pain that was rapidly destroying his neck, all Angle could do… was TAP OUT. But the damage was done, Angle’s neck was broken… in 4 pieces. Mildly satisfied with the damage that had been done; he released the hold, and lined up a diving headbutt to finish him off....

To be continued...or not.

-- TNA recently re-signed Mike Tenay to a new contract. It's believed he re-signed for two years. TNA had a short list of potential replacements in case they couldn't reach a new deal with Tenay.

I think that it was time for a change and I am sure TNA would have been able to find a better play-by-play announcer. Not sure who on the roster can do it, Borash has probably done it before, but I am sure they could have found someone. I would have liked to have seen who was on the potential replacements list. Surprised that Bischoff hasn't put himself behind the announce booth like he did in WCW.

I have never liked Tenay since WCW so not seeing this as a good thing. Don't really like Taz either so I wouldn't have minded to see their announce team get a make over but looks at least for the next two years depending on Taz's deal this is what we're gonna be stuck with.

I don't mind this, it's not like they have many options in the first place.

It really is about time the announce team was changed in TNA it's so boring. I do like Taz he was a breath of fresh air in TNA, but now someone else needs to come in. Mike Tenay just makes me want to fall asleep and when he isn't making me sleep he annoys the crap out of me. I say give JBL a call although he likely wouldn't do it as he's said before.

Really? I think Taz has been extremely lackluster during his time in TNA...I've never really enjoyed his work since he arrived in the company. Let the pigeons loose was entertaining, but his "color" is basically along the lines of a New York Jerry Lawler.

I feel like they'd benefit having someone else do color since Tenay is a good play by play man. It's not like Tenay has a long time to go, I'd be willing to bet this is one of his last contracts and was done more so out of courtesy and respect than actual ability. It's the same with a lot of veterans on sports teams.

Taz can ramble on for 10 minutes about how do suplexs when the match itself goes for 5. I usually find that pretty entertaining.

I said he was a breath of fresh air though, as he was at the time. But obviously it didn't take long before it got quite boring again. He is just better than what TNA had in the past.

I guess I was just looney for loving Don West. He was such a bizarre and naive announcer that he made the product entertaining, especially his overly dramatic moments getting up to high five Tenay whenever something awesome happened. I still love watching his videos on the Youtube page..just seems like a generally enthusiastic and was a fun announcer.

Tna for me has ways had a horrible announce team. I never liked Tenay and only like Don West when he played the heel role. I always thought West would do good as an authority type or manager type. Not a broadcaster.

I'm sure they could have found someone.
