On the unprotected head shots at the 1999 Royal Rumble:

“That was a bad night and I could have been seriously hurt, so I certainly hope no one tries anything remotely like that. I was hurting. I mean, cumulatively you just can’t take a lot of shots like that. So I have to be really careful in my everyday life. I [can’t] get jolted, I can’t ride rollercoasters anymore, I have an aversion to bright lights. But all things considered, I think I’m doing pretty well.”

Geez man that’s sad….one of the reasons it’s irritating when people look down on wrestling for being “fake”….yeah, go tell these guys who are putting their bodies on the line every day for our entertainment.
