No one probably remembers this, but Strahan had ringside seats to Mania the past two years. His kids love the stuff I guess. I hated the concept of weekly Guest Hosts but since this is a one time thing, I don't mind it as much. My obvious assumption is they want Michael Strahan to get involved in angle and probably even a match in the ring with someone at Wrestlemania XXX and this is where they'll plant the early seeds for it. It's not inconceivable that they'd want some type of big celebrity involvement on the show, especially knowing The Rock won't be able to make the event like he has the last three WMs.

I don't see Strahan selling tickets like the Rock would though. If this is what they are hoping to use to draw for WM30, then things are looking pretty bad for the biggest show of next year already.

Probally just to draw some views. Won't draw a lot, but people also won't turn away if the guy is there only for a couple of short segments. Does more good than bad really for the WWE's part. I don't really care honestly, unless it's a guest host I enjoy. If it's someone like Snuki though, that'll really make me change the channel.

I'm not all that excited for him to be hosting, but whatever. I just hope this isn't the beginning of them having guest hosts on a regular basis again! :upset:

Oh, I definitely don't think he would either. The Rock had the luxury of being a draw for the wrestling crowd (being one of the biggest stars ever in the history of the business and all) but also able to bring mainstream attention because of his movie career. Strahan would only be able to do the latter. So he definitely won't be the main draw of the event but he could be the celebrity aspect that the WWE uses to help draw more viewers in to watch Wrestlemania next year. Celebrity involvement has been one of the main characteristics of Wrestlemania since it's inception.

If he actually steps in the ring to compete, I could see him going up against Randy Orton. Reports have been saying for awhile that Orton is only supposed to be in the title picture until January (although one did say he would be in the WWE Title match at Mania, but let's say he won't be), so he could get mixed up with Orton at some point (starting tomorrow night on Raw) and then they can slowly build to a match between the two from there. Orton can even refer back to his Legend Killer days by saying he hasn't killed a legend in awhile, but for stepping out of his own world and into his (meaning Orton's) world of the WWE, Strahan will be the next legend on the list to be killed.
