pretty sure he talks about it in the video but like, CM Punk was also that role at some point. Cody was trying hard to be that role despite booking himself weirdly. worked a bit better with punk but the boos were starting. im not convinced a shoved down our throats babyface works in aew ever

I feel like a one pure FOTC is a bit outdated for a company like AEW. They don't usually centre their shows around one person like WWE do with Roman for example. Only seen shades of that recently with MJF. Also as others have said I find them much more lacking in heels: see the tag division too as a prime example
