XXXIX.
“THE FINAL FOUR.”
Live from Osaka Castle Baseball Field in Osaka, Japan.
Thursday 4th April, 2024.
FIRST MATCH || 1/30.
Bryan Baxter vs. Michelle von Horrowitz.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx Semi-Final.
Match writer: SS or Dubb.
The 2023 F1 Tournament saw Big Bryan Baxter dominate in the pool matchups, making it to the Semi-Finals undefeated. But things changed there when he went up against Michelle von Horrowitz in a match that saw a lot of outside involvement from Mr. Scorpane on Baxter’s side and the Nephews on MvH’s side. MvH emerged victorious in a match of who could outcheat the other, moving her to the finals. Now, one year later, we once again find ourselves with a Semi-Finals match between Bryan Baxter and MvH. Except this time it’s Michelle coming in undefeated and on a hot streak while Bryan Baxter, for the first time in his career, is on a losing streak. His past three contests have seen a draw and two back to back losses including the loss of his prized North American Title. He can still win it back by surviving to the end of the F1… but first he has to try to avenge his loss from last year. While MvH looks to once again best Baxter, with her eyes on winning back to back F1 Tournaments.
SECOND MATCH || 1/30.
Jack the Clipper vs. Kleio De Santos.
Singles Match - FWA Television Championship.
Match writer: SS.
With Brooklyn Steiner and Madison Gray unable to compete at Fight Night, it was determined by the FWA brass that the FWA Television Championship should be vacated. However, no time is to be wasted in crowning a new champion, as the two individuals that Brooklyn Steiner defeated at Winter Wasteland will step into the maw and do battle once again. The former champion Kleio De Santos will need to put any notions of discord in The Coven in the back of her mind for the time being as she will be across the ring from the dangerous Londoner, Jack the Clipper.
THIRD MATCH || MAIN EVENT || 1/30.
Chris Peacock vs. Mike Parr.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx Semi-Final.
Match writer: Man.
Whilst one F1 Climaxxx Semi-Final is a rematch of the previous incarnation, the other is between two competitors who have never made it this far in the tournament before. Chris Peacock withdrew at this stage previously to pursue the FWA World Championship, but his eyes are squarely on the title held by his opponent in Osaka. The North American Champion Mike Parr continued his winning run by defeating Konchu Hao and now must stave off Peacock’s challenge, knowing that defeat means losing his championship. However ‘The Prodigy’ will find motivation in facing a man he has never bested before, but must ensure he does not fall victim to the kind of dastardly behaviour that saw Peacock advance over Big Bryan Bastard at Fight Night.
038: “AN ORIGINAL SHOW NAME.”
Live from the Sapporo Dome in Sapporo, Japan.
Saturday 6th April, 2024.
FIRST MATCH || 1/20.
Johnny Johhson vs. Colby Sol.
Singles Match - #1 Contendership Match for the FWA X Championship.
Match writer: Tommy.
King of the Deathmatch was a coming out party for Colby Sol - making a huge impact advancing to the Semi-Finals in his first ever appearance. And to his credit, Johnny Johnson certainly showed up for the event as well and perhaps proved some of his naysayers wrong as he made it to the finals before ultimately falling to Trixie. But both have certainly shown themselves to be threats in the new-look X Championship division. This will be a rematch of the KODM Semi-Finals - and the winner will earn a future date with Trixie for another shot at the X Championship.
SECOND MATCH || 1/20.
Celestia Ravenwood vs. Sierra.
Singles Match.
Match writer: SS.
Celestia Ravenwood finds herself without those Trios Titles after a loss at Fight Night. But with the title loss comes some new drama within the Coven which XYZ and the Menage have managed to find themselves in the middle of. After being approached by Celestia’s sister, Blaire, about attempting a coup within the Coven (XYZ being no stranger to coup attempts). However, XYZ elected to warn Kleio De Santos of Blair’s treachery… only for KDS to cost X in his KODM match against fellow Coven member, Trixie. A vicious assault from KDS left XYZ motionless following the match as the Menage came to his aid. This week, the saga between The Coven and The Menage continues as Celestia and Sierra go to battle.
THIRD MATCH || 1/20.
Sawyer Xavier vs. Xperienx Xtacee.
Singles Match - #1 Contendership Match for the FWA Television Championship.
Match writer: Jimmy.
While on Meltdown we will see the crowning of a new FWA Television champion, we won’t have to wait too long to find out who that new champion’s first challenger will be. Sawyer and XX both had admirable performances in the King of the Deathmatch but will now forgo the blood and guts for a more traditional wrestling match up. Both of these competitors are hungry for a win and a shot at FWA gold!
FOURTH MATCH || 1/20.
TR1CK or TR4SH (Juan Tothrefor, Hallowe’en Knight, and Trash Mammal) vs. PONI BOI (midnight MUSTANG, sunrise STALLION and midday MULE)
Trios Match.
Match writer: Man.
At Fight Night, TR1CK or TR4SH overcame The Coven to become the second-ever group to hold the FWA Trios Championships. The undefeated threesome of luchadors will look to extend their run to 5-0 on Fallout 039 when they take on PONI BOI. This is not the first boy band that TR1CK or TR4SH have faced in their time together so they will want to make sure that they are not just one hit wonders.
FIFTH MATCH || 1/20.
Gabrielle vs. Jackson Fenix.
Singles Match.
Match writer: Jimmy.
Jackson Fenix threw his name into the Carnal Contendership hat at Fight Night and will no doubt be looking to show he is someone to not overlook in that over the top rope affair to determine who will face the FWA World Champion at Back in Business in August. Fenix had a renaissance in 2023 and looks to continue his growth in 2024 - and who wouldn’t be up for a Jackson Fenix vs. Jeremy Best rematch at Back in Business if that’s how everything played out. But Hall of Famer and former champion Gabrielle certainly will be looking to make a statement as well. Should she decide to enter the Carnal Contendership as well, she instantly becomes a favorite to win. This match could be a big momentum builder heading into the CC.
SIXTH MATCH || 1/20.
Team True Friendship (Cyrus Truth, Jeremy Best, Sir Stache, and Mejor Amigo) [w/ Tonya Scott] vs. Vengador and Triple J Security (Jobber Jimbo, Jugem Jugem and Jiggy John) [w/ Bobby Joel].
Eight-Person Tag Team Match.
Match writer: Dubb.
At Fallout 037, Cyrus Truth walked away victorious in the main event that determined him to be the number one contender to the FWA World Championship, currently held by Jeremy Best. Or as Jeremey calls it, the World Friendship Championship. Jeremy seems to think that the match wasn’t to determine a number one contender but instead to determine who his newest friend is going to be, as evident by Jeremy bringing Cyrus onto a Let’s Make a Friend game show on Fallout 038. While Cyrus quickly provided reasons as to why Jeremy was not the kind of friend he wanted, Jeremy promised to prove to Cyrus that he was a true friend indeed.
Fast forward to Fight Night, where Cyrus Truth came to Japan and was confronted by one of the Japan wrestling scene’s biggest villains, Bobby Joel who has taken on FWA’s Vengador as a client. Looking to make an immediate impact for Vengador, Bobby Joel set targets on the number one contender. The Exile is certainly not one to back down from a challenge, and went toe to toe with Vengador, only to get blindsided by Triple J Security in what was a set up from Bobby Joel it seemed. It was the unlikely appearance of Jeremy Best and the Friendship Wrestling Alliance that saved Truth from a four on one beatdown and led to Jeremy setting up the challenge for Fallout 039. Jeremy has proclaimed this as “Team True Friendship” but something does not quite seem right about this whole situation.
SEVENTH MATCH || 1/20.
Trixie Bordeaux vs. Jason Randall.
Singles Match.
Match writer: Welsh.
Trixie Bordeaux was able to quickly bounce back from losing the FWA Trios Championships with her Coven sisters by winning the third ever King of the DeathMatch tournament and becoming the new X Champion, her first singles championship victory in the FWA. Her first match as champion will be against a former X Champion in his own right, Jason Randall. Randall was unsuccessful in the tournament himself in Japan but a victory over the new champion would certainly bring him into contention. Trixie on the other hand must make sure that she stamps her authority on a stalwart of the X division as its new Queen.
EIGHTH MATCH || MAIN EVENT || 1/60.
Jay Kenny and Donny Toner vs. Randy Ramon and Chris Crowe.
Tag Team Match for the FWA World Tag Team Championships.
Match writer: Tig.
The tag team division was thrown into turmoil recently when Xavien Marshall relinquished his half of the FWA World Tag Team Championships ahead of Fallout 038. He, along with partner Jay Kenny, were due to defend those belts against Randy Ramon and Chris Crowe, the winners of December's Buddy Bowl tag tournament. Ramon and Crowe were thrown together by chance, and managed to outlast nine other randomly assigned tandems to earn this shot at the champions. It was announced on Fallout 038 that Kenny would be joined in this defense and hypothetical future defenses by Donny Toner, who steps in for Xavien at the eleventh hour to ensure this tag team main event goes ahead, even if not quite as planned.
