XXI: "HYPE PARK". |
Live from Hyde Park in London, United Kingdom.
Thursday 10th November, 2022
FIRST MATCH (1/20) |
Shawn Summers vs. Preston Sterling. Singles Match. (Match writer: Dubb) |
Whilst Lights Out was a resounding success on most accounts, one individual who will disagree with that sentiment is the now former FWA Television Champion, Shawn Summers. Summers was extremely dissatisfied in the officiating of his defence against Phillip A. Jackson in New Orleans, blaming FWA referee Joey Ortiz for his loss. Whilst there is pending legal action from Summers, who has announced he will officially challenge the result, ‘Der Bastard’ has the chance to let off some frustration against the debuting Preston Sterling. Sterling, a well-known name outside of the wrestling business, will look to pull off a big upset in his first official appearance for the FWA.
SECOND MATCH (1/30) |
Phillip A. Jackson vs. Lizzie Rose. Singles Match - FWA Climaxxx - Pool B. (Match writer: Jimmy King) |
As noted above, Phillip A. Jackson captured the FWA Television Championship at Lights Out, adding another accomplishment to his decorated rap sheet in the process. By doing so, he also gained qualification for the F1 Climaxxx tournament. In his first match in Pool B, he faces fellow champion, Lizzie Rose. Lizzie did not defend her championship at Lights Out, but did beat thorn in her side Johnny Johnson in a Two-out-of-Three Falls match. Lizzie’s victory was largely in part due to the returning Joe Burr, who vowed to stand by his friend throughout the tournament. PAJ will suffer no fools gladly, so Burr may want to keep his antics to himself in London.
THIRD MATCH (1/20) |
Sawyer Xavier vs. Vampyra. Singles Match. (Match writer: Tiger Princess) |
Vampyra made an impact debut on Meltdown XX, where she set up a match with The Backstreet Boy of the Bad Boys Boy Band on Fallout 020, which she won convincingly. The MAYHEM member made it clear that she wanted greater competition in the future and her wish has been granted with a match against Sawyer Xavier in Hyde Park. Xavier recently unsuccessfully challenged for the FWA Television Championship against former champion, Shawn Summers. Vampyra herself secured a shot at the same title by capturing one of the cases in the Secular Spooktacular event at Lights Out and can use this match as a way to measure herself against a recent challenger.
FOURTH MATCH (1/20) |
The Spirit Walkers [Aka Yurei and Reagan Cole]vs. Bad Reputation [Gabrielle and Kayden Knox]. Tag Team Match. (Match writer: SupineSnake) |
Meltdown XXI will host a rematch from the Seventeenth Anniversary Show, where two former pairs of FWA World Tag Team Champions will collide as Bad Reputation take on the Spirit Walkers. Lights Out proved to be a disappointing night for both of these tandems, as the Spirit Walkers fell to The Connection to lose their titles and both Kayden Knox and Gabrielle were unsuccessful inside the Golden Opportunity Steel Roulette match and thus did not bring the briefcase to Executive Excellence. Reagan Cole will be in his home country for this match, but the British Kid - his former tag team partner - may be looming in the shadows after his shocking appearance-o at Lights Out.
FIFTH MATCH (1/30) |
Danny Toner vs. Tommy Bedlam. Singles Match - FWA Climaxxx - Pool A. (Match writer: SupineSnake) |
Tommy Bedlam’s inclusion in the F1 Climaxxx tournament is being seen as something of a wildcard entry, given how quickly Bedlam’s surge has been since returning to the FWA recently. Which is fitting, given Bedlam defeated ‘The Wildcard’ Jason Randall at Lights Out in a brutal X Rules Match. Tommy’s reward for qualifying though is an opening match against the final boss of the FWA at present, the FWA World Champion himself, Danny Toner. Toner did what he set out to do when he defeated Alyster Black in the main event of Lights Out to retain his championship, and the frontman of Executive Excellence is in imperious form heading into the F1 Climaxxx tournament. Winning the tournament will allow Toner to choose a future challenger himself, which with Chris Peacock and the Golden Opportunity hovering nearby, could be invaluable.
SIXTH MATCH - MAIN EVENT (1/60) |
The Connection [Gerald Grayson and Michelle von Horrowitz] [c] vs. Andersen Vega and ???. FWA World Tag Team Championships Tag Team Match. (Match writer: Mandalorian) |
After almost two years since their first opportunity at the FWA World Tag Team Championships, The Connection finally ascended to the top of the FWA tag team division by overcoming The Spirit Walkers at Lights Out. Despite both Gerald Grayson and Michelle von Horrowitz taking part in the FWA Climaxxx tournament, they will be pulling double duty this week as they will be defending their newly-acquired titles against FWA newcomer Andersen Vega, and a partner of his choosing. Vega debuted in the Secular Spooktacular match at Lights Out and captured a case containing a shot at the tag titles, but given the attitude he has displayed since arriving, he may find it hard to find someone willing to team up with him, although a free shot at FWA gold may be enough to entice some to join his cause in London.

021: "RETURN TO THE FREETOWN". |
Live from Freetown Christiania
Saturday 12th November, 2022
FIRST MATCH (1/30) |
Chris Peacock vs. Cyrus Truth. Singles Match - FWA Climaxxx - Pool B. (Match writer: Mandalorian) |
The opening match of Fallout 021 will feature Pool B of the F1 Climaxxx, where the two bookies’ favourite for that section of the tournament will face off in a highly-anticipated opening round match. Chris Peacock will be riding the highest of highs after capturing the Golden Opportunity briefcase inside the Steel Roulette at Lights Out, where he had to contend with an extremely hostile crowd en route to victory. Cyrus Truth fell short in that match, but ‘The Exile’ showed why he is a force to be reckoned with inside the hellacious structure, with it requiring the combined efforts of Peacock and Devin Golden to eliminate him (the second time in as many years that Truth has only fell due to being ganged up on). The veteran Truth can look to take advantage of a potentially distracted Peacock, who will have a close eye on the doings of the FWA World Champion.
SECOND MATCH (1/20) |
Nate Savage vs. XYZ. Singles Match. (Match writer: Jimmy King) |
This match has every likelihood to turn into a very feisty affair, as Nate Savage looks to send a message to the FWA X Champion Alyster Black ahead of their future encounter after Savage captured a shot at Black’s gold in the Secular Spooktacular match at Lights Out. Savage faces XYZ, a friend of a known enemy of the Undisputed Alliance, Jeremy Best. XYZ will be looking to forge his own claim to a future title opportunity, after failing to capture the X Championship himself on Fallout 014. Whilst this match is not being contested under X Rules, some relaxation of the rules may be required to contain this potentially volatile situation.
THIRD MATCH (1/30) |
Cornelius Aurelius Caesar vs. Michelle von Horrowitz. Singles Match - FWA Climaxxx - Pool A. (Match writer: SupineSnake) |
Caesar may have thought himself to have been clear of Cthulhu’s Nephews after overcoming Uncle J.J. JAY! at Lights Out, but his first match in the F1 Climaxxx tournament is against arguably the most formidable of the group, the former two-time FWA World Champion, ‘Dreamer’ herself, Michelle von Horrowitz. With MvH’s attention divided between the Climaxxx and defending her half of the FWA World Tag Team Championships, this is a prime opportunity for the Roman to strike and kick off his campaign in Pool A with a major upset.
FOURTH MATCH (1/20) |
The Coven [Blair Ravenwood and Celestia Ravenwood] vs. Roderick Vasyl and MDC. Tag Team Match. (Match writer: Dubb) |
Four FWA competitors will make simultaneous debuts in this tag team match to take place in the Freetown. The Coven - consisting of sisters Blair and Celestia Ravenwood - have appeared prominently on FWA programming in the past through their recruitment of Kleio De Santos to their cause in recent months. It seems that KDS has now seen the light - or dark - and will be at the side of her new ‘sisters’ for their match against Roderick Vasyl and MDC. The two total newcomers do not appear to be any less suited to be teaming up with each other, but they will need to find a way to get on the same page if they wish to overcome their dangerous opponents.
FIFTH MATCH (1/30) |
Big Bryan Baxter vs. Gerald Grayson. Singles Match - FWA Climaxxx - Pool B. (Match writer: Dubb) |
Much like his fellow tag team champion, Gerald Grayson is doing double duty this week as he takes on someone who he may encounter in the tag team division in the near future in Big Bryan Baxter of the Buddy System. Eyebrows were raised when Baxter was put forward for his team into the F1 Climaxxx, with many thinking that Jeremy Best would be the one to represent the duo. Baxter has an opportunity at the North American Championship in his pocket, and a future date set with champion Lizzie Rose through the Climaxxx; whether his opportunity will coincide with that match already set is as yet unknown. For now he has to deal with the fearless Grayson, who has the raw ability to potentially emerge as a frontrunner in Pool B.
SIXTH MATCH (1/20) |
The Lumberjacks [Dan LuPone and Doug LuPone]vs. Jimmy Boom Boom and Kung-Fu Karl. Tag Team Match. (Match writer: AON) |
The Lumberjacks made their first appearance as official FWA roster members at Lights Out, but neither of the Boys from the Yukon were able to secure one of the cases in the Secular Spooktacular match in New Orleans. They will be in more traditional action on Fallout 021 against Jimmy Boom Boom and Kung-Fu Karl. Known as underlings of the Undisputed Alliance, Jimmy and Karl’s performance may well be appraised by Savage and Fenix against newcomers to the FWA tag team division.
SEVENTH MATCH (1/20) |
Akihiko Kawaguchi vs. Steve the Techno Vampire. Singles Match. (Match writer: Mandalorian) |
The spooky season is not over it would seem, as Steve the Techno Vampire secures himself another booking in the Freetown on Fallout 021. Hopefully no garlic will be involved on this occasion, as Steve will likely have his hands full already with Akihiko Kawaguchi. Kawaguchi is a very promising talent and FWA audiences were shown a small preview of what he could do as seen in a vignette on Fallout 020.
EIGHTH MATCH - MAIN EVENT (1/30) |
Alyster Black vs. Mike Parr. Singles Match - FWA Climaxxx - Pool A. (Match writer: Jimmy King) |
Of all of the mouth-watering contests that the opening round of F1 Climaxxx matches has brought on, the tastiest of the bunch promises to be the match between Mike Parr and the FWA X Champion, Alyster Black. Black heartbreakingly fell short of capturing the FWA World Championship against Danny Toner at Lights Out, but with another match against ‘The Chessmaster’ on the cards in Pool A, Toner can bounce back in a big way against ‘The Prodigy’. Parr - part of Executive Excellence with Toner - will want to move past his own disappointment in the Golden Opportunity Steel Roulette and look to rub salt in Black’s wounds.
