My feelings on this are very complicated. First and foremost I don’t personally believe people should be fired over political opinions. Unless they are especially egregious.

And I think everybody can agree the Palestine-Israel stuff has hundreds of years of nuance and complexity to it so going down one side OK, one side not OK is just fucking absolutely wild to me.

I say this, not really even knowing what she might’ve even actually said because the only thing that is actually currently up on her social media as a very reasonable middle of the road stance where she wants Hamas to release the hostages and Israel to stop the bombing. Absolutely nothing wrong with that post whatsoever. I’m OK with it.

However, I’ve also seen supposed snap Story type things. The ones that they’re temporary that supposedly she posted where I do think she wondered kind of close to antisemitic tropes potentially, but even then I don’t think she should get fired.

My only thing that makes me laugh is I do see a lot of people on social media right now who are reacting to the story who are talking about being blacklisted for your opinion, who laughed or defended Disney when they fired Gina Carano from the Mandalorian for saying an awful lot less than what’s being alleged here or would absolutely applaud it if that Noah kid who said Zionism is sexy got fired from whatever it is he’s currently doing right now. They not be in the #InJusticeForNoahAndTheyWouldNotBeTalkingAboutHollywoodBeingBlacklistedForTheirOpinions.

So I don’t know. I just think it’s interesting but that being said I’m going to reiterate what I said in the beginning have your opinion on political issues and then come to work. Yes, it you put butts in the seats and she’s been putting my butt in the movie theaters. I want to say about 12 times for the last two movies and probably would’ve put my butt in the seat six more times for the next one. Just leave it be. Let her have her opinion. Unless she gets more egregious or there’s something even worse that I haven’t seen.

Not gonna lie with how I heard their were rumors of the franchise going towards more of making Jenna Ortega's Character the Main Focus for the next Scream Film and a few going forward it feels like her comments was they out as if they didn't have plans to most likely write off her Character.

Jenna was most likely gonna have a reduced role due to her Wednesday scheduling, but they might now make her the star and push back filming for thr summer.

I honestly think even with Wednesday they would of worked around her Schedule to make her a Star no matter what. Ortega is white hot right now sometimes Companies will make sacrifices in these type of situations.

They wouldn’t have been able to. They were going to shoot in March and she was going to have to leave to film Wednesday in April. Most likely they were going to do a scream three types situation and they would’ve had her film a little bit the beginning of the movie some little bit in the middle from a little bit ay the end but her role would’ve been greatly reduced in the middle I think.

The issue is that Jenna Ortega is also very public with her pro-Palestinian thoughts. If they turn her into the main character and she isn't punished for being Pro-Palestine, then it's just hypocrisy by the studio, which would make the situation even worse.

The issue was supposedly some snaps that Melissa made where she ventured into the Jewish control the media narrative. It’s like, did you even read my post as I spent like the entire time saying that Melissa should not be fired.

However, it’s interesting that people are also trying to downplay what the actual accusations are. No one is saying she got fired for that very meddling of the road cease-fire post. Which I think is a perfectly reasonable post if she got fired for that that would be stupid. That’s not the accusation. She’s being accused of perpetuating the same stereotype that Kanye got dropped from all of his labels and sponsors for. The harmful Jewish media trope.

Which I’m hoping isn’t true, regardless. I like Melissa and I’m hoping she gets her career going in a big way.
