From pwmania/Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

-- Drew McIntyre has reportedly fallen out favor with management as he's gained a reputation of being high maintenance not to mention that he's failed to get over to the degree of his push. Initial plans called for McIntyre's undefeated streak to result in a World Heavyweight Title reign. Instead, Jack Swagger ended up in the spot and McIntyre was left to feud with Matt Hardy.

-- CM Punk won points with management for his effort in getting the crowd back into his Over the Limit match with Rey Mysterio after the bout was awkwardly halted so a trainer could treat his head wound. When the audience began to turn against the match, Punk called an audible by attacking Mysterio in an effort to get things back on track.

-- Sunday's Over the Limit pay-per-view at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan drew 11,000 paid fans with a live gate of approximately $675,000.

Holy shit. That had me let out a big sigh of relief. Drew almost became World Heavyweight champ.

^^^Rofl. Didn't see 'working with Hardy' as punishment, but that's pretty much what they're saying lol. Can't say I'm not happy that he's getting backlash over his original plans/hype/expectations. Hopefully it's a downward spiral from here.

Also, props to Punk. He did really well to make that match watchable, especially after they stopped due to "excessive amounts of blood gushing everywhere".

Cali with my boo. Megan Fox.
Drew McIntyre is a straight up idiot. Whatever his lose. I kinda like Jack Swagger. Hes cool. I think he might be like the whole new Angle mixed with Brock Lesnar.

And the whole CM Punk thing. Thats one thing that he does right. Is keep shit on track with his Storylines in his wrestling career. I just hate the fact with his nasty ass chest hair. lol.

Gay. McIntyre should be champ. Turn him face, send him to Raw, feud with Sheamus vs McIntyre. Easy. McIntyre has that badass face vibe that surrounds him. People always jump on the McIntyre sucks bandwagon. That's gay.

FUCK! McIntyre could have been champ? :smh PFFT Matt Hardy, Drew owns. Well I'm glad it was Swagger that got it instead for a change.

TBH, I see this a yet another example of WWE expecting peeps to get over without giving them the necessary 'tools'... Yeah, they gave him the chosen one schtick, but all he did was pre-match beatdowns. His IC win was barely heelish - Him dethroning Morrison in an overtly heelish fashion 'would' have sealed things for him and they could have run from there.

Pre-match beatdowns on Matt Hardy every couple of months isn't gonna get you ME-level heat.

re: Punk - Hopefully they'll acknowledge how bad an idea these steward inteventions are in general and ditch that fucking nonsense altogether.

I disagree with all the McIntyre haters, I think he's a fine heel who would make a 100x better World Champion than Jack Thwagger. WWE needs to stop "losing faith" in these guys because now is the time to start making new stars, the roster is in bad shape and they need to do everything they can to get it better and make people interested in the product again. Dumping McIntyre before he even has a chance to get over is NOT the way to do that

Well they threw the baby chick in before it knew how to fly. If I knew nothing about backstage affairs, I would just think that McIntrye was delusional about the whole "chosen one" thing. He interacted with Vince twice. Once when Vince introduced him and the sencond time in that gauntlet with Cena. Drew isn't all that promo savy yet so why couldn't Vince be his mouth piece and keep his talking to a minimum.

There is so much stupid in this thread, it's quite sad. Drew McIntyre really reveals the idiots from the intelligent bunch. Thanks for that, Drew.
