Its a common topic and many talk about how the Hennig family name should be used and honor the late Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig and Larry "The Axe" Hennig. Joe Hennig (Michael McGillicutty) seems to agree and retweeted the following on Twitter.

@WWEMcGillicutty Joe Hennig > Michael McGillicutty, RT if you agree, the Hennig name should still be remembered!

------------------------------------------------------------

Damn fucking agree on this one. He'd be taken way more serious with the IWC & Fans if he changed it to Joe Hennig. I'd be all up for it, he'd be able to cut a great promo speaking on the Hennig family too

Wait, so now he wants to use the Hennig name? It was reported before he was used on NXT that he didn't want to use the Hennig name as he wanted to forge his own career on his own merits and not be known as "Mr Perfect's son".

Either that report was wrong, or he has had a change of opinion. Whatever, I wouldn't mind if he had a name change.

Well this is from the horses mouth and i do agree, I can't take him seriously at all with that name. He could easily break from being Mr Perfects son if they gave him the time of day. But i doubt that they will change his name as hes a active roster member.

Well, John Morrison had a name change and he made it very clear in a promo style. Didn't want to be known as Johnny Nitro anymore.

Well when the announce team talks about it every time he's in the ring it does no good to have a different name.

I would like to see a name change because it is annoying writing McGillicutty every time he wrestles. The commentators constantly mention that he is a third generation wrestler so why not bring in a link to the past and use the Henning name.

I heard not using the Hennig name was a WWE call and not his own. Personally I think it was a horrible decision to change his name (especially to something as horrid as McGuillicutty). He would gain instant credibility if he changed his name and cut a promo about why he's doing it.

I'd like it done sooner than later. We hardly hear McGillicutty or Otunga cut promos, this could be a good way and especially with taking out Jerry Lawler. McGillicutty could come out and say his name is Joe Hennig and Lawler has never respected him as a 3rd Gen Wrestler.

I could see something good here.

Every time I hear the name Michael McGillicutty I always think of ECW's Beulah McGillicutty. Let the guy go by his real name, maybe turn him face, and he can feud with Ziggler over who really encapsulates perfection.

Same as Above. always think of Beulah. He should go by his real name for sure. Legacy is there and His Dad never used his name is WWE so they shouldn't be worried about that.
