Was just informed by @WWE that my contract will not be renewed. I am now available 4 appearances, signings seminars & wrestling. Deep breath

Horrible. I like him both as a wrestler and as an announcer. Shame he kept getting shoved to the side.

Meh, he had his ups and downs but i'm generally not fussed by this. I mean I liked how he went into depth and discussed the submissions people were putting on and where abouts it would hurt you and such, but all I could think of during that time was that he would be better off covering for a MMA promotion or something. One thing that really fucking annoyed me about him though was he always made the most stupid pain sounds when people would get hit hard or locked into something. MMMMMMPH, AAAAAAAAAAH, OOOOOOOOOOH.

Shame WWE never went anywhere with him. I always enjoyed his work both in ring and out. But this shit happens, and because of his exposure in WWE, he'll be damn near famous in the indy scene.

Thought he was a bit of a know it all on commentary really, no need to bring up a 1968 match in Japan for an analogy in the middle of some jobber tag team match.

Better to be a know it all than to know nothing however, and he's the only guy to ever get the names of moves right. Cole just calls everything a suplex.

This would have been a bigger deal to me if he was let go when he was still commentating on TV but I honesty have forgot about him for a while.

How can you forget about him during the 15 WWE App plugs we get per show, he's never been more prominent :ricardo2:

Don't get me wrong I love that he knew the names for moves, but he didn't captivate my imagination (If that makes sense) at all, plus his voice was annoying as fuck.

Yeah, I don't get WWE's logic with that. JTG is useless...

Oh please, and Striker is what? A gold mine of natural talent?

I honestly don't remember a whole lot about his wrestling matches, aside from being "the teacher guy", but I really never thought he was anything better than simply "decent" on commentary. He wasn't witty at all and nothing was particularly remarkable about his on-screen character.

Not saying that I'm glad he got fired or anything, I just doubt many ppl will miss him.

He was a lot more useful. I didn't say Striker was gold however. But I'd much rather him than JTG.

WWE needs jobbers though. It's common for fans to assert "Oh well this guy never wins, so he must be useless" when that couldn't be further from the truth. It's not a glorious role in the company, but it's still a role. And I'm not sure what Striker's role has been lately.

I think that I'm also including the fact that he made time for fans. After shows he'd hang out a ringside shaking hands signing autographs and he'd do it at the gates on his way to the cars. Class act and not a lot of them take the time to do that type of thing. Rico was the same way actually.
