They already have the highest ticket prices in the NHL and now they're going to be charging even more. It doesn't really affect me because I normally only go with clients who have corporate tickets, but for the average fan this is a kick in the fucking balls. Not to mention the Leafs haven't won anything since 1967 AND they're the only team in the NHL to crack Forbes list of wealthiest sports franchises. They absolutely do NOT need to be charging people more to see their half-ass product out on the ice. I think the only way to put a stop to this is for people to stop going, but since every game is a sell-out I don't see that happening any time soon.Toronto Star said:The Toronto Maple Leafs are joining other NHL teams and clubs in other sports in beginning a dynamic pricing policy for tickets to their games, based on the opponent and when it’s being played.
The prices will be divided into five different categories: Super Premium, Premium Plus, Premium, Regular and Preseason.
For instance, a seat in the “green†price point could range from $90 (Regular) to $125 (Super Premium) depending on who the Leafs play.
The Toronto Raptors have had a dynamic pricing policy for two seasons with games against the L.A. Lakers costing a lot more than games against the Charlotte Bobcats for the same seats.
