A 22-year old man has been charged with burglary with the intent to commit a sexual offense after allegedly crawling through a window and getting into bed with a 10-year-old girl.

Santa Ana Police Sgt. Anthony Bertagna said Cesar Sotelo, of Stanton broke into the home of a former neighbor through an open window.

According to prosecutors, Sotelo went into the girl's bedroom, crawled into her bed and began fondling her.

The child woke up and Sotelo then offered her $25, prosecutors say.

She screamed and her father rushed into the room where he struggled with Sotelo.

Sotelo was able to get away, but was arrested two days later.

Sotelo faces a possible six years in prison.
