He actually said he was doing a lot of that just for attention and HEAT cause he knew insulting AEW would work the smarks lol he said they were real complaints though, just overexaggerated and that he thinks the communication has improved anyway since
that actually makes a ton of sense lol especially since a month or two ago he walked back that they never called me thing and outright said "yeah I didn't really try to call them either lol, i knew what was up"

That’s honestly a pretty strong win-win in my opinion. You still get to take as many bookings as you want and you get paid by a company that’s not using you? The only thing they can’t do is go to the WWE or impact which is their main competitors.

makes sense.

Wouldn't even surprise me if Tony approved Impact bookings either if that was in the cards lol I'm sure that's case by case rn too, like Kaz working BFG

The most curious thing to me is Brian Cage never getting booked and not asking for his release. so weird lol
I think he’s getting paid pretty well and possibly his best contract he’s ever had so he’s just trying to take care of his wife and his family but yeah I would still blow up a little bit more heat to get booked because I’m one of the few Brian Cage marks on here.

See.. I dunno if I can buy that first part. Especially in that match with Miro, who visibly looked pissed off and frustrated how much of a train wreck it was. But I’ll just nod my head.

admittedly, I’m not Janela’s biggest fan, nor do I understand how or why he’s got such a cult following. GCW as a whole just baffles me.

yeah if you don't like GCW then that's not a surprising opinion.

Yeah I can’t say that I was too disappointed that Joey Janella left AEW either and I’m also not a GCW fan.

I don't disagree he was no longer a fit post Daily's Place era and had a couple of sketchy outings on tv where he didn't look great

Well he's admitting he lied/exaggerated himself so I definitely wouldn't recommend believing anything he says in general either way :lol just gotta use your own judgment there lmao

I tried to like it. But the times I’ve watched it it does come off like a Great Value ECW. The announcers are dropping f bombs and trying to get themselves over. Nick Gage, while kudos for making money and being a draw for that audience, literally has no wrestling acumen. I get he’s a death match guy. But even that kinda loses the plot on what the fuck this whole thing is supposed to be.

If he says he did it for The Rock I’ll believe it.

I'd recommend just not trying to like stuff lol if you don't then you don't and that's that. Plenty of other wrestling out there

I mean I certainly understand those criticism, the commentary is not my cup of tea either and while the legend of Gage is cool I'm not really a mark for him or his ring work. I would suggest checking out the non deathmatch stuff with the young high flyers. I feel like that's their best assets

I’ll be honest that early era of AEW didn’t really hook me at all. I liked the shows that I did decide to watch but I just didn’t get that need to see it until winter is coming when you can feel Tony Khan taking over.

A lot of it was creative, but the roster didn’t feel must see for me in the beginning. Like a lack of the it factor.

That said this whole Black situation really just shows how awful reporting and tribalism is as a whole.

^^ yeah, this is the GCW stuff I do like, or when they do that backyard wrestling show they do. But I like that one because of the silly gimmicks.
