How many people here love making a significant difference in someones day/life? I know i love being apart of events and stuff that allow me to make someone's day and eventually someone's life.

Like earlier today, i participated in my school 20 something annual food drive that raised $25,000 in 3 weeks to feed 120 families. We then took that food to these families, but long story short, over 3,000 people show up to this event at 5 in the morning on a saturday to make a difference in people who we do not knows life....i just love that feeling.

EDIT: These are mainly High School students.

What about yourself? Do you have story something like this?

I like the little things more than anything. People often take the time for big things which is wonderful in itself, but for me it's the little things that usually go unnoticed that make a difference. It shows that there are still good people in the world.

Today for example, I had to take my mum to hospital this morning and when I left to head to work, I went to pay for parking at the hospital and realised that the machine wouldn't take certain coins (stupid bloody things they are) which left me $1 short. A lady at the ticket machine next to me just handed me $2, wished me a Merry Christmas and said not to worry about the change and walked to her car. It was such a nice thing to do to a complete stranger and it helped me out of a bind.

It didn't make a world changing difference, but it gave me something to smile about today considering everything going on.
