^ Rvd's can be a true main eventer if he's booked right.... Anybody could be a true main eventer if they're booked right.

Rubbish.....

Putting someone in a ME match or hot-shotting them a title doesn't make them a "TRUE" main eventer... The fans need to emotionally invest in you and then you gotta STAY over with the aid of charisma, promo's, wrestling ability, etc..... Y'know.... TALENT.

While that is true. I do think it is completely possible for RVD to be a main-eventer.

Oh, man, i wish he'd return. Edge, Hardy, Jericho, Rey, Punk, and Van Dam in the ME scene on Smackdown!......that would rule.

To say RVD isn't a star is absurd. The man has been over since his arrival during the Invasion. Dude was there less than four months and was inserted into a title program with Austin and Angle while most of the other ECWCW talent was being squashed on a weekly basis. Dude's been a star since he was in ECW. Just because he spent a majority of his WWE career on the cusp of the main event scene doesn't mean he wasn't a star. Ravishing Rick Rude, Ricky Steamboat, Chris Benoit,Ted DiBiase, Scott Hall, Owen Hart were ALL stars that made their bones in the mid/upper card.

But RVD is fat now. He lost his passion five years ago, and I think he enjoys smoking pot and reading comics all day more than the grueling routine of wrestling.
