They've said they're going to fix the blocking flaw on a 4-man D-Line when you shift them to one side and crash to that side... the end on that side will run clean and free to the QB every time for a damn near guaranteed sack.

They said they're going to fix shit like grass stains, helmet scratches and wet spots when a player has been tackled.

They're going to adjust the patching of the commentary (too many people get a popping noise when the tracking for it cuts).

They're going to add different dialogue about players.

They're going to add more introductions to the pre-game.

They're going to add Collinsworth's keys to the game.

I agree they should go back to Madden & Michaels, but Madden won't do it, and the reason they've gone with Collinsworth is because of how fond Madden is of him... it was John's request. Michaels I believe said he wasn't willing to record the dialogue for it anymore.

Problem I still have is split screen with your buddies, Player/Controller 1 is always Intercepted, meanwhile Player/Controller 2 can never ever get intercepted, it just bounces right off player 1's defensive back's hands.

Trust me, Me and my cousin even swapped controllers and the same thing happened again and again, we're both on ALLPro, we're both on the same settings, idk what's up with this, but it kinda ruins the family get together madden tournament a little bit.

other thing with madden, It's like they take a step, then take a nap (08-09/10-11), then take another baby step, then nap again.
Madden 06 should have been what Madden 08 was, madden 08 should have been what madden 10 was, etc.
Slow Progress lovin' muthaz'

^The games you pointed out also featured the biggest changes overall in terms of major additions or removing something major from the franchise.

They're still working to try and please one mass group, but no mass group is ever going to be happy with a product... they need to just settle on their best features and hope they can play off of each other. I haven't played 2-player at home yet, so I can't comment on that, though I've never experienced anything like that myself tbh... but I can say I'm more pleased with this Madden than any other in terms of what it provides in terms of general gameplay alone.

So, I just spent a vast majority of my free time the past 72 hours playing NBA 2k11...holy fuck. Greatest. Sports. Game. EVER. Don't want to start a thread for it, doubt anyone besides myself cares. But best presentation ever seen in a game since Montana Real Talk back in the genesis days. Insanely deep and replayable forever and the legends things...fucking awesome. The way they make the games look like the era they were played in...there has never been a touch like that in any sports game. How do you improve on perfection? 2k Sports found out how. Too bad they cant get their hands on an NFL license so they can put these mediocre at best Madden games to shame.

I take it you mean 2K12?

Got it, love it, but I also hate quite a few things about it.

1. When on a fast-break, as soon as a defender gets within 5 steps of you, your player pulls up and gets protective of the ball, whether it's Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant, or... worst of all, LeBron James. There's absolutely NO REASON for the player to not finish strong at the rim, especially a guy like LeBron.

2. Reach in is FAR too common.

3. Drive control is pretty fucking lame.

4. We were promised that aware players would walk the baseline... they don't do that at all.

5. Baseline/Sideline awareness baffles me. They won't step out of bounds often on the sideline... but at the baseline, if you get close to it with press defense, your player will step out of bounds.

6. Crossover control sucks, simple and plain.

7. Auto subs... if you're down 3 with less than 2 minutes to go in the 4th, the auto-sub will take out your best shooter, even if he only has 1 foul and isn't fatigued. I'm playing a season with the Thunder on Association and I've had Durant pulled in clutch situations 5 times so far in the first month of the season... it's Blue how they still haven't fixed the auto-sub system.

8. My player create a player... the features are limited, tattoos still suck, and the coloring for hair and facial hair is so off and unrealistic it's unbelievable. Dark blonde for one hair style looks dark blonde, for another it looks fucking neon green... what the Hell!?

Anyways, some things I particularly like:

1. Environment. Holy fuck does the crowd get into the games!? They get legitimately loud and it actually has an impact on the home-team play.

2. Presentation. The game looks as clean as ever, and the throwback presentations are an amazing touch to the game... not to mention the elder situations with no 3 point line. Also love having a few of the throwback arenas.

3. Physics... the player contact is awesome, and I love that if you're driving, the ball can bounce off of ANYONE... including your own team.

4. Shooting. The actual act looks so much cleaner and smoother this year.

5. Picks... picks are finally more effective and off the ball picks finally really set plays up without having to adjust sliders.

6. General gameplay and difficulty. It's a little more difficult to win, and the CPU really steps up in critical moments and the 4th. And backup players actually have strengths and don't just go out there and shoot airballs and turn it over and miss layups the entire time.

Definitely a great game, but I definitely feel most of the negative shit really takes away from a lot of the enjoyment of the game. Also, the game actually does get hurt by the Lockout with not having rookies and basically just playing 2K11 all over again. I'm really considering trading mine in until the lockout is over, if it's ever over...

You know Madden back in the 90s didn't have the NFL liscense, they just had the teams wear the same colors as real life teams, but named them "Wisconsin Greeners" or some crap.

Just saying, 2K sports could do the same thing. Call the Bears the Chicago Pandas and dress 'em up like the bears, make it easy to change the names/customize stuff, Bam!

Be nice to see something fresh when it CUMs to football games. I love EA and all, but 2k is pretty good.
