The DFWA returned to PPV for the first time in nearly two years and the capacity crowd was off the charts in anticipation and excitement.
Backstage were some interesting wrestlers that seem to be joint DFWA. Albert, Corey Graves, & Tomko were seen together talking with Rockstar Spud. Junkyard Dog was in the Cat's private box. And Wade Barrett was seen talking to Chris Hero in Hero's locker room.

THE SHOW STARTED WITH GM ROCKSTAR SPUD ANNOUNCING THAT ON THE NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS THERE WILL BE A 3 MAN BATTLE TO DETERMINE THE FIRST DFWA LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. HE ALSO ANNOUNCED THAT HE WILL BE THE FIRST PARTICIPANT AND THAT ANYONE THAT WANTS TO GET INTO THE TOURNAMENT MUST MEET SPECIFIC WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS AND SHOULD REPORT CHECK IN THE DFWA MEDICAL STAFF FOR OFFICIAL WEIGH INS.

- The opener pitted the King's Court w/ Queen Sherri vs Ba Da Boom. Enzo and Big Cass got a lot of offense in but in the end the power of the KC was to much as Magnus hit the Mag Daddy Driver on Enzo for the win. Winners: King's Court

- Next we had the finals of the DFWA TV Tag Titles with The Midnight Express w/ Jim Cornette facing off against MCMG. Match lasted 12 minutes and ended when MCMG had Lane up for Made In Detroit when Cornette jumped on the apron and tossed the tennis racket to eat who nailed Shelley with it and Lane was able turn over on Sabin and rolled him up with a handful of tights for the victory. Winners and DFWA TV Tag Champions: The Midnight Express

- the age old battle of the US & Russian was the focal point of the next match as The Patriot teamed up with Jack Swagger w/Zeb Coulter to take on the Russian Nightmares Ivan & Nikita Koloff. Swagger had Ivan in the Patriot Lock but Nikita came in and hit him with the Russian Sickle before Ivan could tap out. Then Ivan tagged in Nikita who went to work on Swagger who was able to tag in Patriot but the masked American was overpowered and also ate an insane Russian Sickle from Nikita and was pinned for the loss. Winners: The Russian Nightmares

- Hussan w/ Davairi took on HBK in a match without a whole lot of backstory but HBK wanted revenge after Hassan cost him a title shot. Hussan held his own against HBK who was at times it seems distracted and also showed a bit of a mean streak that he hasn't shown in awhile. HBK ends up throwing Davairi into the steel steps then as Hassan goes to attack him outside he hits Sweet Chin Music on him and then rolls him into the ring for the pin. Winner: HBK

- Ambrose and Pillman met next for Pillman's TV Title. Was a brawl right from the beginning with Ambrose getting the best of the champ who then decides it best to run into the crowd and ends up getting counted out. Ambrose then is seen chasing after Pillman through the crowd. Winner: by Countout Dean Ambrose

- The Tag titles were on the line as the Champions The British Bulldogs took on America's Most Wanted. Technical masterpiece and after several near falls it ended up in a time limit draw after 30 minutes. Both teams looked pissed off and wanted more time. Winner: NONE TL Draw

- Main Event time The Champion the Macho King w/Queen Sherri took on Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Half way through the match Macho was beaten down in the ring and Dragon was about to hit the cross body but the King's Court came down and interfered but HBK came down and he and Steamboat cleared out the KC but then HBK hit Sweet Chin Music on Macho King when he was startled by him in the ring thus causing Steamboat to be DQ'ed. Steamboat was irate but did not seem to blame HBK as he was just trying to help him even the odds. They left together but it almost seemed as if Shawn had a smirk on his face which seemed a bit odd.

as we go off the air the teaser poster for DFWA's next PPV event his displayed

Conflicted HBK is the best HBK. Great start.
