WWE Payback, June 2013

It’s Sunday, June 16, 2013, and the WWE Universe in the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL is going nuts waiting for the Second City Saint to make his highly-anticipated return to the ring. Michael Cole is giving the welcome to the viewers at home when he is interrupted by a siren. An ambulance backs into the arena and Ryback’s music hits. Ryback exits the back of the ambulance and makes his way down the ramp to the ring.

Ryback begins cutting a promo, and calls Cena a poison. The crowd responds favorably to the rundown of Cena. Ryback says the WWE Universe can admit it, and tonight, he will control the poison. Cena’s music hits, and Ryback paces the ring as Cena comes sprinting out full speed. Cena leaps into the ring and he and Ryback are exchanging punches. Cena gets the upper hand and attempts the AA, but Ryback slips out and clotheslines Cena from behind. Ryback drags Cena out of the ring and slams him against the ring-post repeatedly. Cena is trying to get back to his feet when Ryback lifts him and hits Shellshocked on the outside of the ring. Ryback pulls a stretcher from under the ring, and straps Cena to it, rolling him to the ambulance. Cena begins to stir, and Ryback puts a cloth over Cena’s face, and Cena is unconscious. Ryback loads Cena into the ambulance and pulls away out of the arena.

The crowd is shocked as Michael Cole fails to find the words to describe what we’ve just witnessed. Just then, Wade Barrett’s music hits. Out next is The Miz. Following The Miz is Curtis Axel, accompanied to the ring by Paul Heyman. The match begins with Axel & Barrett focusing on The Miz, who eventually gets Axel out of the ring. Axel spends a considerable amount of time seeking the guidance of Paul Heyman while Miz & Barrett tear each other apart. Axel wisely jumps in the ring to break up every pin attempt, but slithers away to stay fresh by Heyman. The Miz has had enough of these antics and jumps out of the ring, where Heyman cuts him off. Miz grabs Heyman, and Axel suckerpunches him and throws him over the barricade into the timekeeper’s lap. Axel jumps in the ring where he’s met by Barrett, who mounts some offense. Barrett gets a couple near falls as Miz is still out. As Miz is getting up, Heyman hits him with the Intercontinental Championship. Barrett goes for the Bullhammer elbow but Axel moves aside and Wade stops himself short of killing the referee. Axel hits a low blow on Wade while the referee’s back is turned, and then hits the Perfect Plex for a roll-up victory.
Winner and New Intercontinental Champion: Curtis Axel

After the match, Axel and Heyman are celebrating when Zeb Colter appears on the ramp applauding the third generation superstar on his victory. Paul Heyman grabs a mic and tells Zeb, “I can understand why you wanted to get a closer look at what a real championship manager and champion look like” when Antonio Cesaro’s music hits to a loud pop. Zeb tells Heyman, “Me and Cesaro are coming after that Intercontinental Title, just like the great men before us who traveled from continent to continent claiming them as their new home.”

We go to a video package for The Wyatt Family.

We return and Paul Heyman is still in the ring. He has a microphone and tells the crowd “The match between my client and Chris Jericho was scheduled to take place next, but Chicago does not deserve to be robbed of their hero having to perform second on the card.” The crowd cheers Heyman and begins chanting “CM Punk!”

We are shown highlights from earlier in the night at the pre-show where Sheamus defeated Damian Sandow after Cody Rhodes attempted to interfere but tripped up Sandow by accident resulting in a Brogue Kick.

Kane makes his way to the ring. Out next is Ambrose. The bell rings and Kane wastes no time going after Dean, who tries to compose himself on the outside, but Kane cuts him off. Kane is infuriated and brings Ambrose back into the ring. Kane hits a series of moves looking like he is going to put the match away early, but Ambrose kicks Kane in the knee out of nowhere, and then works his leg on the ring-post. Ambrose drags Kane from the ring and drops elbows across his knee. Ambrose jumps back in the ring and the ref starts a 10-count. Kane makes it back in at 9 and Ambrose immediately goes back to the knee. Kane makes his comeback and builds some momentum. Kane goes to the top rope, but can’t get his footing. Ambrose tries to fight back, but Kane fights him off and finally gets up. Kane jumps but Ambrose sidesteps him and Kane’s knee gives on the landing. Ambrose pulls Kane up and hits his inverted DDT for the victory.
Winner and still United States Champion: Dean Ambrose

After the match, The Shield swarm and they surround Kane who crawls back into the corner. GONG! The lights go out, the crowd goes insane. With another GONG! The lights return and there is a thick smoke in the arena as The Shield stand alone in the ring with no sign of Kane anywhere.
Cole looks perplexed and says this night is just getting weirder and weirder, and then recaps what happened earlier between Cena & Ryback. Cole says the authorities have been contacted and as soon as an update can be given, the WWE Universe will know.

Out next is Albertooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo DEL Rioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Followed by Dolph Ziggler, accompanied to the ring by Big E. Langston and AJ Lee. Ziggler takes his time avoiding Del Rio to start the match. Ziggler jumps outside and Del Rio follows, only to be cut off by Big E. as Dolph taunts with a kiss from AJ. Dolph gets back in the ring after requesting the referee make Del Rio back up. When Dolph gets in, Del Rio charges into the corner. The referee has to break up the five count and Dolph with a thumb to the eye of Del Rio. Dolph controls the tempo of the match, countering Del Rio anytime it looks like he may mount a comeback. Eventually Del Rio gets hot, and after hitting some high impact moves like his German suplex and super kick, he gets near falls. The crowd is pro-Ziggler as Del Rio attempts to lock in the cross arm breaker. AJ pulls Dolph’s legs around the bottom rope, and the referee sees and kicks her from ringside. Del Rio locks in the cross armbreaker in the middle of the ring, and Dolph maneuvers just enough to get near the ropes. As he is about to tap, Big E. tries to pull his legs around the bottom rope, but Rodriguez points the referee in that direction and Big E. has to stop himself before being tossed. Rodrigues takes the opportunity to grab one of Del Rio’s hands for leverage and Dolph is tapping as Big E. gets on the apron to distract the referee. Rodriguez tries to pull Big E. off of the apron, and gets attacked. The ref throws Big E. out, who is causing a commotion. As the referee is distracted, AJ sneaks in through the crowd and claws at Del Rio’s eyes. Dolph hits the Zig Zag on a dazed Del Rio and gets the win.
Winner and still World Heavyweight Champion: Dolph Ziggler

After the match, Del Rio tries to attack Big E. and Dolph is getting ready to hit Del Rio with a super kick. Del Rio ducks out of the way just in time and Dolph is caught by Big E. who does not look pleased with the near-miss. AJ tries to calm Big E. down.

In the back, an ambulance pulls up and Ryback climbs out. Striker is there to ask him what has happened to Cena, and Ryback says Cena was delivered to Mount Sinai Hospital. Striker asks Ryback how he intends to win the WWE Championship if Cena is unable to show and Ryback grabs him by the throat and puts him against the side of the ambulance and says, “It will be relinquished to me.”

Back at ringside, AJ Lee is in the ring awaiting Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn rushes the ring and attacks AJ before the bell. The referee tries to separate the two, but Kaitlyn will not stop. More officials rush the ring to separate them, and AJ has snapped and is trying to claw her way to Kaitlyn. Dolph and Big E. show up to separate them when Dolph and AJ realize Big E. is holding Kaitlyn back. Big E. eases up his grip and they clear the ring and the match begins. AJ gets the upper hand as Dolph and Big E. seem to be at odds on the outside of the ring. At one point, Dolph is about to get on the apron to distract the ref, and Big E. grabs him and prevents him from the distraction. Dolph asks Big E. where his loyalties lie, and there is an intense staredown. AJ is distracted and tries to get the two to calm down. AJ turns around to a spear and Kaitlyn retains her title.
Winner and still Divas Champion: Kaitlyn

After the match, AJ is fed up with both of them and slaps Langston, who is furious. Langston turns his back and is furious. Del Rio appears out of nowhere and just as Langston is about to run over Dolph, he hits Del Rio instead, and Dolph is unaware he was the target of Langston’s attack.
In the back, Matt Striker is waiting in the parking lot for John Cena to show up.

Back in the ring, The Shield make their entrance. Randy Orton appears to boos from the crowd. Daniel Bryan is out next and the crowd goes insane. Yes! chants all the way down the aisle. Orton and Rollins start the match off and Orton gets the upper hand early. He tags in Bryan who locks in a few submissions on Rollins. He tags Orton back in and Rollins with a desperation dropkick. Rollins tags in Reigns and they isolate Orton and keep him in their corner exchanging tag after tag. Orton gets close to tagging Bryan several times, and the crowd’s anticipation is through the roof. Bryan is getting pumped up on the outside as Orton starts fighting out of a Rollins headlock. The crowd is chanting Yes! with every taunt by Bryan in the corner. Orton just about to make the tag when Reigns runs around the ring and yanks Bryan off of the apron and throws him into the stairs. The Shield continue to focus on Orton who is kicking out of a lot of near falls. Finally, Bryan gets back on the apron and gets the crowd into it again. Reigns runs back around the ring again to try and cut off the tag, but Bryan kicks him and Orton makes the tag. Bryan climbs the ropes and hits a front dropkick on Rollins. Bryan runs the ropes and hits a suicide dive to Reigns. Bryan gets back on the top rope after Orton RKO’s Rollins and hits a diving headbutt. Reigns gets in the ring and Bryan breaks the pin to trip Reigns. Bryan starts kicking both men repeatedly and hits them both in the head. Suddenly, the referee grabs Bryan and forces him out of the ring as he apparently did not see the tag moments ago. Bryan is furious. Orton grabs Reigns/Rollins and tries to hit a double DDT from the ropes, but The Shield reverses it and they toss Orton over the ropes to the outside. Reigns drags Orton back in and Orton with an RKO out of nowhere, but he can’t make the pin. He finally covers Reigns, who kicks out at 2½ and Orton begins crawling to the corner. Reigns crawls and tags in Rollins. Orton tags in Bryan. Bryan ducks Rollins, hits the rope, ducks Rollins again and hits the rope, then hits his flying forearm. Bryan throws Reigns in the corner. He throws Rollins in the opposite corner. Dropkick to each man. Starts kicking them both again. Hits the roundhouse to their heads. Orton gets in and throws Reigns out. Bryan picks up Rollins who shoves Bryan back into Orton. Bryan kicks Rollins, but Orton spins Bryan around and RKO’s him. The crowd boos Orton even louder. Orton slips out of the ring and Rollins covers Bryan for the pin and the win.
Winner and still WWE Tag Team Champions: The Shield

After the match, Orton picks up Bryan and slaps him before hitting another RKO. The boos are deafening. Orton goes blank and backs up to the corner. He is getting ready to punt Bryan. Just before he begins running towards Bryan, GONG! The lights cut out. The crowd goes insane again! The lights come back on with another GONG! and Orton is alone in the middle of the ring surrounded by a creepy fog.

Cole looks even more perplexed as he transitions back to Striker. Striker says he still hasn’t seen John Cena, but a limousine has pulled up and nobody has exited.

Back at ringside, Chris Jericho makes his entrance. He is awaiting CM Punk, when Paul Heyman appears on the stage. Heyman is buying time as he runs down Jericho. Loud CM Punk chants fill the arena and Heyman almost can’t be heard over the microphone. Heyman says CM Punk will not be wrestling Chris Jericho tonight. The crowd boos. Jericho grabs a mic and says Heyman signed on behalf of Punk. Heyman says he signed on behalf of his client. Jericho says Axel already had a match tonight. Heyman smirks as Brock Lesnar’s music hits. Lesnar makes his way to the ring with Heyman and Jericho looks uneasy. Brock and Jericho are going back and forth in a high-tempo match. Brock tries to slow it down with a brutal style, hitting some ground and pound. He opens Jericho’s forehead up and there’s blood everywhere. Brock slows it down even more, stalking Jericho before hitting him with a huge overhead belly-to-belly and Jericho slides out of the ring from the impact. Heyman hypes Lesnar up from ringside. Jericho gets back in the ring as Brock is playing to the crowd and in a last-ditch effort, hits a Codebreaker. Both men are out. Heyman is urging Brock on. Both men return to their feet and Brock charges at Jericho who ducks and Brock tumbles outside. Jericho follows him out after regrouping and sends Brock into the ringpost, which has gotten more action tonight than Lawler will for the rest of his life. Brock is now opened up. Jericho throws him into the ring, slides in, and applies the Walls of Jericho. Brock is fighting for the ropes as Heyman panics. Brock powers out, and Jericho rolls through, gets up, and goes for the Codebreaker again. Brock catches him mid-air and hoists him onto his shoulders, but Jericho rolls out with a victory roll and tries to lock in the Walls of Jericho again. Brock fights out and locks in the Kimura. Heyman is yelling for Brock to break Jericho’s arm. *Static* “LOOK IN MY EYES! WHAT DO YOU SEE? THE CULT OF PERSONALITY!” The crowd goes insane. Brock is holding the Kimura. Heyman looks shocked instead of ecstatic. Punk appears on the stage and the fans come unglued and the roof blows off of the Allstate Arena. Punk makes his way down to the ring and walk around and brushes Heyman’s blazer off. Brock releases the hold and yells out of the ring at Punk and Heyman. Punk ignores Brock, and Brock jumps out of the ring and grabs Punk. Punk with a roundhouse to Brock! Heyman still standing shocked. The referee is still tending to Jericho. Punk rolls Brock into the ring and Jericho hits another Codebreaker for the three-count.
Winner: Jericho

After the match, Punk rolls into the ring and stands over Lesnar. Punk looks around at the crowd, chanting “CM PUNK!” Punk smirks, picks up Lesnar and hits a GTS as the crowd erupts and Heyman stands outside, still perplexed. Punk exits the ring and grabs a microphone. He asks Heyman to have a seat on the announcer’s table with him. Punk tells Heyman he shouldn’t have taken liberties with his name; that isn’t what friends do. Heyman tries to apologize and Punk cuts him off. Punk looks at Brock. “You see, Brock Lesnar left this business because he couldn’t hack it. He needed legitimacy so he left.” Well, Punk says he represents the legitimacy of the WWE and if Brock Lesnar is looking for a legitimate fight, Punk isn’t very hard to find. Punk shoves the microphone into Heyman’s chest and walks off as Lesnar looks on.

Outside in the parking lot, Striker is still waiting for Cena to arrive.

Ryback makes his entrance and heads down to the ring. Cole selling Cena’s absence after the attack. They go to replays of what Ryback did to Cena, and then of Ryback telling Striker he dropped Cena off at Mount Sinai Hospital. Back in the ring, and Ryback has a microphone. He calls for Vickie Guerrero to do the right thing and hand him the WWE Championship. Vickie does not come out, and Ryback demands she show up. All of a sudden, there are sirens as the cameras cut to the back and Striker is diving out of the way of an ambulance. The ambulance backs into the arena and John Cena exits. Cena is not in great shape but he makes his way to the ring. Vickie rushes out with security so they can keep the two separated until the lumberjacks show up. The lumberjacks enter and surround the ring, and the match is underway. Cena rushes throwing punches, but Ryback quickly gets the upper hand as he works Cena’s back. Ryback tosses Cena to the outside of the ring and distracts the ref as the lumberjacks beat Cena down and throw him back into the ring. Near fall. Ryback charges Cena who throws him over the top rope. The lumberjacks toss Ryback back into the ring after attacking him. Cena with a near fall. Ryback makes it back to his feet first, runs at Cena for the lariat, but Cena with a drop-toe-hold into the STF. Ryback taps out quickly and the ref breaks the hold. Cena locks the hold back on immediately and is pulled off again before shoving the ref and he and Ryback are in an all-out brawl. The lumberjacks begin brawling, and Mr. McMahon enters to call everyone to order.

As the lumberjacks flee and security again separates Cena and Ryback, the match continues into a tables match. Ryback and Cena brawl again until Ryback grabs Cena and delivers a backbreaker. Cena writhes on the mat as Ryback crawls out and grabs a table and slides it into the ring. Ryback sets the table up and grabs Cena who makes his comeback. Cena hits the 5-knuckle shuffle and grabs another table which he sets up longways in the corner. Cena puts Ryback across the table and climbs the top rope. Ryback gets up and gets ready to throw Cena off the turnbuckle through the table, but Cena counters with a headbutt. Cena gets off the top rope and picks Ryback up on his shoulders, getting ready to position him for an AA through the table. Ryback with elbows, slides out, and picks up Cena for a powerbomb and puts Cena through the table out of nowhere. Ryback picks up Cena and puts him through the other table with another powerbomb. Cena is out. Ryback crawls out of the ring as the ref announces the start of the ambulance match.

Ryback pulls Cena out of the ring and puts him on his shoulders. Ryback carries Cena up the aisle towards the ambulance. Cena fights out and shoves Ryback face-first into the ambulance. They fight around the set with Cena getting close to putting Ryback in the ambulance a few times. Ryback with a low blow and then he climbs to the top of the ambulance. Cena follows him once he recovers. They exchange punches on top of the ambulance, but Cena gets the better of the exchange. Cena starts to lift Ryback for an AA, but his back gives out. Ryback beats down Cena, then lifts him and hits Shellshocked on top of the ambulance. Ryback climbs down from the ambulance after shoving Cena off the top. Cena isn’t moving. Ryback grabs Cena to pull him up and Cena with another drop toe hold out of nowhere. Ryback fights the application of the STF, but Cena gets the better of him and locks the hold in. Ryback is trying to tap but there is no submission. Cena wrenches at Ryback’s neck even more and Ryback passes out. Cena releases the hold and takes a moment to get up. He struggles to load Ryback into the ambulance because of his back. He gets Ryback in, but then Ryback grabs Cena and pulls him into the ambulance and the door pulls shut. The referee checks on the ambulance and then calls for the bell. The result of the match is a draw.
As a result of the draw, John Cena is still the WWE Champion.

We go off air with the ambulance pulling away.

Monday Night RAW, June 17, 2013

The show kicks off with a video package from Payback. The events with Team Hell No disappearing are showed. We see the dissension between Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston. We see the events between Punk/Lesnar. Finally, we get a recap of Ryback & Cena.

Michael Cole welcomes us to Raw from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He says last night was a crazy night and that there will be an update on the condition of John Cena later in the night. Cole starts to mention Paul Heyman when he is interrupted by Chris Jericho.

Jericho makes his way to the ring and grabs a mic. He says he’s a little beat up from last night, but that he’s ready to compete. But first, he has a message he would like to deliver to CM Punk. Jericho says Punk may have intervened in the match, but that doesn’t change the fact that Jericho won, and it certainly doesn’t change the fact that he wants Punk in a Best in the World match at SummerSlam. Paul Heyman interrupts. Paul comes out and says that if Jericho weren’t aided by the interruption that Punk caused, Brock Lesnar would have snapped Jericho’s arm and he wouldn’t be here tonight. Jericho agrees, to disagree, and says he’s willing to prove it tonight. Heyman says Lesnar is at home recuperating like a real athlete should do, but that Jericho can face a Paul Heyman guy tonight. Jericho says bring on Punk and Heyman declines. Jericho says, “fine, I’ll take on Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Championship” and Heyman laughs. Heyman says he’ll see Jericho in a little while.

We go to the back and John Cena is in the building, and he doesn’t look well. Vickie is trying to talk John out of doing anything, but Cena is walking with conviction towards the ring.

As we come back from commercial, Cena’s music hits and out he comes. There are no poses. He doesn’t stop to thank the fans for coming out. He grabs a microphone and gets in the ring. “Normally, I’m all about putting on a show for you all. I’m all about having a great time. Tonight, that isn’t the case. They didn’t want me coming here tonight. They wanted me to rest up. They wanted to give you all an update on me. That’s not how I do business. You all deserve to hear it from me and nobody else. Last night, Ryback and I fought to a draw for the second time in consecutive months. Ryback took me to the limit, and we both failed to achieve victory. Last night, Ryback hurt me. I’ve got swelling around my spine and my nerves are all messed up. Doc says I can’t wrestle tonight and it could very well be a few months before I lace up my sneakers. Well, I’m here to tell Doc respectfully that he can kiss my ass. I’m not a champion because I settle for keeping this title on my shoulders for a draw. As far as I’m concerned, Ryback is as much the champion right now as I am, because I couldn’t put him away. So tonight, I want Ryback, and I want to settle this.”

“EXCUSE MEEEEEEEE! I SAID EXCUSE ME! John, you are not cleared to compete toni…”

“Vickie, SHUTUP!” Cena pulls a pair of handcuffs out of his pocket and cuffs himself to the top rope. “I’m not leaving this ring until someone guarantees me my match with Ryback tonight.”

Brad Maddox comes out and says, “You’ve got your match. WWE Championship on the line. Oh, and John, if you want to compete, you have to sign a waiver assuming all responsibility for whatever happens to you.” Cena agrees and we go to commercial with Vickie looking confused at Maddox.

Back from the break and Big Show’s music hits. It is the first time we have seen Show since Extreme Rules. His opponent tonight is Wade Barrett. Wade starts the match off throwing punches to Show. They beat the Hell out of each other. Show goes for the chokeslam and Wade rakes his eyes. The referee is warning Barrett, who is prepping his elbow pad. He runs at Show for the Bullhammer but Show catches him and hits the chokeslam. Wade kicks out at two. Show is setting up for the KO punch but Wade rolls over into the corner between the ropes so the referee has to hold Show back. Show threatens to hit the referee when out of nowhere Barrett lands the Bullhammer and Show falls back against the ropes. When he bounces back, Barrett catches him for Winds of Change and picks up the win via pinfall.
Winner: Wade Barrett

In the back, Ryback is entering the building and has a black eye. Striker walks up to tell Ryback he has a match with Cena tonight for the title if Cena signs the waivers. Ryback doesn’t say a word and walks off. Striker is about to pitch it back to Michael Cole when Mark Henry walks in out of nowhere and grabs the microphone from Striker. “Tonight, someone is going in the Hall of Pain!”

After commercial, Antonio Cesaro comes out, accompanied by Zeb Colter. His opponent is Sin Cara. The match starts with Sin Cara’s overwhelming speed as Cesaro can’t get the advantage. Out of nowhere, Cesaro hits Swiss Death on Sin Cara off of a springboard attempt. Cesaro directly into the Neutralizer for the win.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro

After the match, the lights go out. The place is quiet. Jerry Lawler sells it being creepy. “Do you want to see something scary?” Bray Wyatt’s voice echoes throughout the arena. The lights on the ramp come on and out comes The Wyatt Family. Cesaro and Zeb leave the ring and Sin Cara is left in the middle of the ring. He starts to get up panicked when the lights cut out again and we hear slams in the ring. The lights cut on and The Wyatt Family each hits their finisher on Sin Cara before dragging him up the ramp behind them.

After commercial, John Cena is signing his waiver when CM Punk walks in. Cena is uneasy, but Punk tells him to calm down. Punk tells Cena, “You and I, we may never see the world the same way. But you know that I respect you inside that ring and outside of it as well. You’re making a stupid decision. Rest up and face Ryback later.” Cena says, “You’ve been in the ring with me. You know that’s not what I’m about. You spent 434 days as the WWE Champion… so you know why I have to do this.” Punk shrugs and tells Cena to take care of himself. Cena signs the waiver and hands it over to Brad Maddox.

In the ring, 3MB is waiting for their opponent. Mark Henry’s music hits and he makes his entrance. Henry is scheduled to face Jinder Mahal, but grabs a mic and says he wants to fight all three. 3MB jumps at the opportunity and they have Henry backed into the corner. Henry throws all three men off and starts hitting clotheslines to take them out. Henry throwing all three around the ring with ease. Henry with a World’s Strongest Slam to Mahal, another to Drew McIntyre on top of Mahal, and another on Heath Slater on Drew. Henry hits the ropes for the big splash on all three for the pin and the win.
Winner: Mark Henry

We go to the back where Jericho is taping his wrists, and Heyman shows up. Heyman asks Jericho if, perhaps, he’s willing to make this match EXTREME!? Jericho looks at Heyman and says he has no problem teaching “Curtis Axel-rod” a lesson. Heyman smirks, thanks Jericho for his time, and leaves.

After commercial, the Prime Time Players are in the ring awaiting their opponents, The Usos. The Usos make their entrance to a big pop from the crowd. Titus Young controls most of the match. Darren Young gets the tag in but the Jey Uso sprints to his corner to make the tag to Jimmy. Jimmy takes out both members of PTP and then the Usos have Darren Young lined up in the middle of the ring. Jey with a super kick. As Darren turns, Jimmy hits a super kick. Jey clotheslines Titus off of the apron and both Usos climb opposite turnbuckles. Jimmy with a splash, follow by Jey with a splash. Jimmy with the pin for the win and the crowd is getting behind the Usos.
Winners: The Usos

In the back, Team Hell No are spotted. Bryan is asking Kane what happened last night, and Kane is trying to explain that they were saved by the forces of evil. Bryan cannot understand how evil can save anyone. Kane tries to explain, and Bryan wants to know why he was saved… he isn’t family. Kane is frustrated with Bryan. The Shield walk up and challenge Team Hell No without any tricks. Bryan gets ready to start fighting them and Kane holds him back and accepts the challenge. The Shield walk off and Bryan accuses Kane of holding him back again. Kane says they were outnumbered. Bryan reminds Kane he has single-handedly taken The Shield out before. Kane says that’s true but they have a match and it isn’t wise to take chances. Kane says it’s time to get ready. Bryan says he better not ever be kidnapped by an invisible force again. Kane looks frustrated, and shakes his head laughing as they walk off still arguing.

After commercial, Big E. Langston comes out with AJ. His opponent is The Great Khali, accompanied by Natalya. Big E. starts out strong, but Khali gets the upper hand. AJ and Natalya get into it on the outside, and Khali clotheslines Big E. to the outside of the ring. Kaitlyn appears on the stage. She comes down slowly as AJ looks crazy. Kaitlyn is tending to Big E. when AJ walks around and they argue. We go to commercial as Big E. breaks them up.

Back from commercial, Big E. has the advantage as he has Khali on the mat in a chin lock. Khali fights out and locks in the Vise Grip. Kaitlyn encourages Big E. as AJ looks disgusted. Big E. starts to power out of the grip and fights back. AJ gets on the apron and the ref is distracted. Big E. yells at AJ who gets down from the apron and Big E. turns around to a chop from Khali. Khali for the pin and the win as AJ smiles.
Winner: The Great Khali

After the match, Kaitlyn gets in the ring to check on Big E. AJ begins to look on in a jealous rage and attacks Kaitlyn. Natalya pulls AJ off and AJ tries to fight Natalya. Big E. grabs AJ and pulls her out of the ring. He drags her up the ramp, looking back at Kaitlyn as AJ throws a fit.

In the back, Paul Heyman is seen talking to Curtis Axel. Punk walks in and asks Paul how he’s doing. He looks at Axel and says, “Hey kid. Glad to see you finally caught your break. Nice name.” Punk winks at the camera, obviously breaking the fourth wall again. Axel says, “It’s an honor to be mentioned in the same regard as CM Punk and Brock Lesnar” and Punk cuts him off. Punk says Axel doesn’t need to look up to Brock. Punk says Axel has a bright future ahead of him if he makes sure his own agenda isn’t scribbled over by someone else’s. Punk says it sincerely makes him proud to see Axel on the rise, and wishes him all the best in his match tonight. Heyman says, “Thank you, Punk. We’re EXTREMEly grateful for your well-wishes.” Punk looks at Heyman and walks off.

After commercial, Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. The crowd is booing Orton and he looks smug. Orton grabs a mic and says Bryan is lucky that he was saved last night, because Orton was going to kick his dreams right out of his skull. Orton says he is tired of being the best in the ring and having nothing to show for it. Orton says he is taking what he wants from now on in spite of everyone. Sheamus’ music hits and Orton is cut off. Sheamus and Orton are going back and forth when Orton uses a thumb to Sheamus’ eye. Orton dominates Sheamus for most of the match. Sheamus starts making his comeback. Orton with an intentional low-blow. The referee calls for the bell. Orton out of nowhere hits a punt on Sheamus. Orton drags Sheamus to the center of the ring and pulls him from the mat. Sheamus is out cold as Orton locks his neck and hits an RKO on a limp Sheamus. Orton poses over Sheamus.
Winner: Sheamus via DQ

After commercial, Jericho makes his entrance. He’s in the ring waiting when Paul Heyman walks out. Heyman has a mic and says, “Ladies and gentlemen of the WWE Universe, I’d like for you to get on your feet right now for a man who is going to go EXTREME tonight and defeat Chris Jericho. There’s a pyro and then “ONE OF A KIND!” The crowd erupts! Jerry Lawler puts over RVD’s return big time. RVD hits the stage and people are cheering even louder. RVD does his taunt and the crowd chants R-V-D! Jericho is in the ring laughing to himself. The match starts and the crowd can’t make up their mind whether to cheer R-V-D or Y-2-J! RVD stalls and climbs the turnbuckle to do his taunt and the crowd chants R-V-D again. They chant it louder. RVD and Jericho lock up; they reach a stalemate and then run the ropes. Great read so far. I like the twist with the Punk/Jericho match to first of all turn it into Lesnar/Jericho, then have Punk return and turn on Lesnar to set up a match with him. Nice call on RVD returning the night after as well and I wouldn't mind actually seeing RVD/Jericho once RVD actually returns to WWE. I like how you used the Wyatt Family as well, big impact right away first to a midcarder but then getting involved in the mainevent. Looking forward to the next show.
