Yo peeps, it's Looch and one of my favorite things about the jolly ol' Christmas is the music. I fuckin' LOVE Christmas music and it just shot through my mind to give y'all something for this season in form of an Advent Calendar. I'm gonna post two songs each day... so basically my personal top 48 Christmas songs (not in a specific order though). I hope one or more of these find their place into your hearts (or playlists) like they are deeply embedded in mine. :D ... I just hope that at least the Spotify list I'll put at the end of each post works completely, in case some YouTube videos are blocked in the US. :)

Oh and be aware... there might gonna be some duplicates in this calendar, but if that happens, then the two versions will definitely be vastly different from each other. :D

And since we are already two days into the month, let's start the season with a foursome. :drose

December 1st & 2nd
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Andy Williams
From all the classics out there, this is my personal first song I usually listen to when we enter the holiday season.

The Yule Fiddler by Patty Gurdy feat. Fiddler's Green
I'm sure some people already know how much I love Patty and Fiddler's Green. When this one hit at the end of the shit year that was 2020, I was immediately in love with it. I'd argue it's one of the best modern Christmas songs there is.

Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt
And we go back to another classic and I'd say this is my absolute favorite underrated classic Christmas song, from an also very underrated singer in the legendary Eartha Kitt.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas by Broken Peach
I love this band so much. I can only recommend y'all to check them out, especially if you like covers and a great overall presentation in music videos. Spoiler alert... this won't be the only Broken Peach Christmas song you'll see show up in here.

Welp... I can't get a Spotify playlist to work in the forum. :hmm:

I'm just gonna post these without one then for now. Sorry about that. :)

Today we going British...

December 3rd
Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade

I Wish it Could Be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard

Both these classics came out in 1973 and Slade beat Wizzard in the UK Charts for that December with hitting the #1 spot, while the Wizzard song "only" achieved a #4 place. I personally love both songs and honestly, I feel like these two just belong together. You can't have a Christmas playlist with only one of them, imo.
