I don't know if you know but I usually specialise in logos and someone asked me to make him a logo for an e-fed and this is what I came up with. If you were a fan going to a wrestling show, would THIS logo be effective do you think? I am still working on some sort of montage in the background and i might update later if/when it develops better. Now the process was not just choosing some font, I had to edit an existing font of barbed wire structures so it could resemble letters.

Reduce the size of Bkg or increase the size of text as it looks very empty.

Didn't expected anything like this from ya...maybe you can save it as PNG so it goes as the color of the page!

it's not a banner, there isn't suppose to be any pictures or anything. It's like the WWE logo or the ECW logo etc. It is meant to be something you can use to represent a company. Someone payed me to make it for their e-fed somewhere else. It's just a black background, it is like putting the WE logo on a plain background and asking for THE logo to be rated artistically.

Its pretty nice really. people seem to think that logo's need pics on them on there by the comments ? but no logo's dont need pics , Typography logo's are pretty cool i would try to add a little more too it though maybe like a silhouette of a wrestler posing or something like that if you get me.

I know its a logo, and i know it doesnt neec to have ne pics on it.

It still looks bad, and boring imo.

if it looks that bad and boring then why dont you let him how he could improve it then instead of just saying its bad and boring. tell him what he could change to make it better.

Redoing it, lol. Its only text. Restart, try some more effects, layers, fonts etc. There isnt too much to say, I dont think.

Try using some shapes, you'll notice SD, RAW and ECW brands logos arent just text, they have shapes included in their logos, textures etc.

You'll also notice that WWE's logos are simple. Simple is effective. I've been doing this for a long time and it isn't even the finished product. i know what I'm doing, hell I get payed on average $150 to make these things.

Well, did you draw the design with the pen tool? If you didn't, then there's no way in hell I'd pay more than .10 cents for that.

^^^Exactly, it seems like you're fucking people over with designs like that. Honestly, it's like you didnt even try. And if you have in fact been doing this for some time, wouldnt you understand many things, apart from "Simple is effective" eg. line, colour, shape, texture ... aahhh whatever the other design elements are. It appears like you've just slapped that onto a black bg, with no real thought.

Really if this is client work and this is that your client wanted then you really shouldnt be bothering asking all the people on here. i know you just wanted feedback off people . but as long as your client likes it, then it doesnt matter when people think of it on here.
