I watched this live yesterday. Was impressed from start to beginning. Vikingo v Gable was one of the best matches I've had the pleasure of watching all year. Vikingo be the next lucha star signed to wwe.

Wonder if WWE will keep putting on AAA in YouTube now? As they'll make more money from the adverts then having it on netflix

WWE-AAA's Worlds Collide set a YouTube record with 764K+ live viewers; hit 4.1 million views in 24hrs.

WWE today announced that Worlds Collide, its first joint Premium Live Event (PLE) with the recently-acquired Mexican promotion AAA, set a record for the largest live audience in company history for a YouTube broadcast. The event peaked at 764,389 live concurrent viewers across the WWE and WWE Espańol YouTube channels during the main event between AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo and WWE superstar Chad Gable.

Still available to watch for free on YouTube, the show, which received rave reviews from fans of both companies as well as journalists from around the world, Saturday’s broadcast has been watched by more than 4.1 million viewers on YouTube in the first 24 hours. On X, #WorldsCollide was the No. 1 trending topic globally on Saturday, and WWE generated more than 32 million social views across all platforms in the first 24 hours.

Wrestlers from both companies mixed it up in several major matches, and some of the longtime veteran Mexican luchadors immediately got over with U.S. viewers who were seeing them for the first time. Chiefly among them, Mr. Iguana (seen above), who has become an overnight sensation with WWE fans and already has a shirt available on the WWE online shop. The evening’s main event between El Hijo del Vikingo and Chad Gable was another standout and for many ranks among the best matches WWE has produced this year.

In April, WWE announced its acquisition of AAA in partnership with Mexico-based sports and entertainment holding company, Fillip. The companies will continue to work together in the months and years to come, including at the upcoming Triplemanía Regia on June 15, where TNA, WWE and AAA wrestlers will appear in the same show for the first time ever.

Worlds Collide can be watched for free on WWE’s YouTube channel, and is available with both English and Spanish commentary.

One NXT source indicated that they will be pushing for Mr. Iguana to make appearances. There was a lot of praise for Mr. Iguana’s general performance at Worlds Collide translating well to social media, it was said he was popular among the WWE roster as well, asking for pictures.

Mr. Iguana's WWEShop Merch performed exceptionally well also. There have already been talks on how to appropriately merchandise Mr. Iguana, including the feasibility of producing iguana puppets. -

Also I thought it was done different to a Triple H fan show and Found out Jeremy Borash ran the show obviously not booking but no adverts through any matches and the way the show was edited was too notch.

“Looking back on it now, I’ve hardly had time to reflect on it, but It was maybe the most special day of my entire career, now that I reflect on it. Just such a whirlwind. You know, going down to AAA and doing something new that felt really fresh and just something I’ve never done before. Totally new experience — was really unique to me. And wrestling a guy I’ve never wrestled before in front of a crowd that really felt different for those that maybe were even in the building or watching on YouTube, you know, it even felt like a different crowd. So it was such a unique day for me overall.”

“The AAA thing, above almost maybe any other one I’ve almost ever gotten, was an an opportunity and pressure like I’ve never felt because it’s this new relationship that we’ve started with this company and this thing that we’re trying to build. So to me it’s like a special thing, like we’re building this together from the group up now, this new version of it or the new take on it. So that falls on my shoulders as being part of the first main event. And so, hey man, if you think pressure’s a privilege, this is pressure like never before. Because you better deliver and show that you did."

Everybody, every other guy in that locker room that night, you could tell they came to make an impact, to show the world — a new audience that maybe had never seen any of them before — this is who I am, this is what I do, and this is lucha. This is AAA. And they did just above and beyond what I could have even expected to deliver. And now the buzz is out there, right? So it’s cool. The thing was created, we did it. My only complaint is that they should have had Rey Mysterio on commentary instead of Konnan.
