Friday's WWE SmackDown, the go-home show for WrestleMania 39,
averaged 2.484 million viewers on Fox, up 11.9 percent from the previous week. It's the third-largest audience total the show has drawn in 2023.
SmackDown topped all of network television with a 0.69 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 19 percent from the prior week. It's SmackDown's best rating in that category since the December 25, 2020 episode of the show, which had the benefit of an NFL game as the lead-in.
SmackDown was only beat in 18-49 by an NCAA women's basketball tournament game on ESPN and the pre-show for that game. Those broadcasts took the top two spots on cable on Friday night, drawing a 1.27 rating and a 0.85.
SmackDown also topped network TV with a 0.44 rating in the 18-34 demo, doubling the next highest English-language competition.
As compared with the same week in 2022, SmackDown was up 5.3 percent in overall viewers and up 13.1 percent in 18-49.
