It really doesn't. Edge being the past and Roman not being the past makes no sense when they almost wrestled in the same locker room. Edge would STILL be wrestling to this day if he wasn't FORCED to retire. Do you consider Orton the past? The only difference between Randy Orton and Edge is a broken neck.
