he looks in about the same shape to me with a 2 dollar haircut :draper2

he also didn't take his shirt off so I will reserve judgment how in shape he actually is and maintains. will he do house shows etc as well.

The thing I'm a bit optimistic of though is he looks healthier, he looks in better shape than his AEW run not sure if that will translate to ring.
He looks about the same tbh? Basically as he did when he started in AEW

CM Punk looks little like he did during his nexus days. Wade Barrett did mention to a fan during an interaction that he was trying to get the band back together :p

Kinda got a feeling Punk does one takeover as well too at some point.

Really good show overall. I thought they were being super brave (or stupid) running the whole angle of Randy not being there given the obvious hope for Punk being there. When Randy's music hit I really thought it wasn't happening, even more so when they brought up the logo at the end. Legit got up out of bed when that static hit :lmao

Maybe i'd need a rewatch but first impressions were I enjoyed the womens war games more than the mens. Enjoyed the finish on it, I assumed Bayley was going to take the fall to further the tension between them but the way they did it with her saving...Kairi? was a nice wrinkle. Great reaction to IYO's trashcan spot again.

Gunther/Miz delivered. There's something about Gunther's matches where he wins with these different finishes that is so good because sometimes it really feels like the ending comes out of nowhere rather than heading for the usual final stretch.

Santos/Dragon Lee really delivered. Was very dubious about Santos splitting away from LWO, thought he might end up sinking as opposed to swimming but he's fucking killing it so far and the crowd were responding to it. Lee looked fantastic and was really nice to hear how over he was.

Womens title was good, think I was expecting a little bit more from it though.

Fantastic way to end their last PLE of the year. Road to the Rumble/Mania coming up soon :mark:

Yeah, I don't get the comments about Punk looking healthier. He's exactly the same as he was when he left the other company, he just has a new haircut (which does make him look a little younger). I hope he takes the opportunity to do some work at the PC and get bigger like Ludwig and Randy did.

I'd keep him the fuck away from NXT, imagine if someone commits the crime of not asking him for advice.

I think he must be so salty towards AEW at this point that he'll make sure not to get into trouble so that he can get the opportunity later on to put the blame on TK and the Young Bucks for the whole debacle.
"See? I wasn't the problem, it's TK and his goons who can't run their company properly".

It's Punk. I don't think he has that much self control

I actually agree with you - but that energy will fade as he gets comfortable. He was a super happy guy when he came back and blamed everything on WWE too when he debuted there. My old ass fully expect the same patterns to manifest themselves but you will get a happy period. hopefully it's long.

I don't like the guy but I hope we're wrong and everything works fine. WWE has been so good since Vince stepped down, I haven't been that invested in it since I first got into it back in 2009. I want it to remain so.
