I get the disrespectful thing, I can't imagine it being easy for any of the people involved but I would say with almost certainty that they had chance to turn the pitches down. I do think the SummerSlam kiss needed to happen though to give it that over the top effect, though I wouldn't be surprised from here on out if it went more in the direction of Rhea/Dom with all the head rubbing and hugs and no kissing anymore.

The kiss needed to happen. It was the icing on top of the cake that was the betrayal. They may not do it anymore on tv but in that moment, it just fit. And I’m sure both Dom and Liv discussed with their significant others before consenting

He's better as a Babyface. Now he's had a taste of being at the top, he will get better. His promos are getting better and better.

I didn't notice this until I saw it mentioned on Facebook, but McIntyre, Punk, and Rollins were supposed to be paying homage to Undertaker, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels from Summerslam '97
