I liked seeing Becky back, I'm a big fan of her. I did not like how they handled the match itself. I think Bianca is a quality wrestler and deserved better than a squash match. I'm assuming they will make up for it with a banger of a match later on, so I'm not going to get too worried over it. I just think it could have been booked better.

The return and entrance from Becky was wild. Great pop. She looked really happy to be out there.

I'm not really a big fan of Brock and Roman feuding again but I will say it is interesting to see Brock in the babyface role this time around without Heyman by his side. Hopefully that adds a cool dynamic to it.

Overall, I had some fun with Summerslam. I thought the middle parts were a bit weak honestly. Started off well and fell off a bit before picking back up.

I enjoyed the RAW Women's Championship match more than I thought it would. Charlotte put in a great performance even though I'm not too keen on her being champion again. Certainly a title deserving performance from her.

Agreed, but I do think it needs to be teased with Heyman being the ref in their match and even have Roman be paranoid because Heyman has done this like 6 times. Turning and joining someone else. So would be a good story. Then Heyman stays loyal to the Chief.

I'm going to incredibly salty if this happens. I don't want to see the same thing we've seen countless times already. Give us babyface Brock fighting on his own against the 'Final Boss' Roman.

Brock was always positioned in that final boss role, it's very interesting to me.

What was the general consensus on Becky's win on here?

I really wanted to get excited but it was such a weird squash with how they've built Bianca up. I was in mixed feelings about it, whilst still trying to calm down from seeing Becky again I feel like it would have been better if they'd had a great match and Becky had won.

I don't mind the Carmella bait and switch at all not announcing Sasha is gone until after Bianca's entrance is wack. ROH did something similar Friday for one of their matches and like fuck just announce it at the top of the show. Actual return was great, squash was dumb af but it's whatever and about on par with expectations nowadays

Unless there's a really good reason why they couldn't have an actual match but we got that Miz and Morrison segment and the random shinsuke entrance then fuck that lmao it wouldn't have even had to be long, just more than one move at least

The main why is because of Punk.

Her and Brock had to be last minute panics.

Like I said, Becky was not last minute lol she has been rumoured to be returning to summerslam for a few months now. Her beating Bianca in 20 seconds was just lame ass WWE booking, nothing new to see there.

I am not sure about Brock as he was a surprise return to me, I never read anything about him coming back, the last thing I read was it seemed he wasn’t going to be a part of WWE anymore and was possibly going back to just full MMA. That was in the spring I think I read it, can’t remember exactly, but, it was a while ago, anyway. Never saw another rumour after that about him, all news just seemed to disappear, so, WWE managed to either keep that one a really good secret for a long time, or, they called him Friday night/Saturday morning and did an emergency dump truck of money at his doorstep so he could show up.

I think if they stopped advertising Sasha vs Bianca and put “mystery opponent”, it would have been obvious it was Becky and wanted her return to be a “shock” to people who don’t follow the rumour mill or just didn’t believe the rumours. If they advertised Bianca vs Carmella, no one would give a shit because Carmella sucks ass. People wanted to see Bianca vs Sasha and keeping that match alive kept people watching. I think it’s garbage for people who were excited to see Sasha and Bianca fight again, though.

At the end of the day, we know what we are getting now, just Becky and Charlotte winning for the next 800 years and making the other talent look useless.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't buy the coincidence. They had Roman bury Punk on SmackDown leading into this as well.

They were also heavily promoting the Sasha match with Bianca so I don't believe that Becky was planned if Punk hadn't returned and Sasha and Bianca hadn't no showed a live event and Sasha the last SmackDown supposedly, I really don't buy Becky would have been there.

Brock also wasn't planned because they definitely would have had him be on the card if they had him locked down a month ago.
