Friday night's SmackDown
averaged 2.077 million viewers on Fox, up 4.4 percent from the previous week. The episode, which was taped in advance, aired on the eve of WWE's Clash at the Castle pay-per-view.
In the 18-49 demo, Smackdown led the broadcast networks (and was second on all of television) in the 18-49 demo with a 0.49 rating. That's up 2.1 percent from the previous week and ties the highest rating for the show since July 29.
SmackDown also finished second on television with a 0.34 rating in the 18-34 demo, only trailing US Open tennis coverage on ESPN, which averaged 4.561 million viewers, drew a 0.92 rating in 18-49, and drew a 0.67 in 18-34.
As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown was down 6.4 percent in viewers and down 21 percent in 18-49. It's the fifth straight week that the show has had a double digit year-over-year decline in the key demo.
