With the show taking place on the day after Thanksgiving, last week's episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 789,000 viewers on FS1, down 31.1 percent from when it last aired on that station on October 27. This is the lowest-ever viewership total for a live airing of SmackDown on any network. There was a New Year's Eve taped "Best Of" episode in 2021 that did a lower audience.
SmackDown drew a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 31.4 from the October FS1 episode. That's tied for the second-lowest rating a live SmackDown has ever done. There was an October 28, 2022 episode that went up against the World Series that did a lower number.
The show was moved to FS1 last Friday due to Fox airing college football. NBC and ABC also aired games head-to-head, so the competition was much tougher than usual in addition to it being a holiday weekend and airing on an unfamiliar station.
