I feel like it shouldn't be Sheamus because Sheamus couldn't win the IC Title so why should he challenge for the world title

Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 2.264 million viewers on Fox, up 5.9 percent from the previous week. It's the best audience total for the show since October 14.

SmackDown topped all of television with a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 20.8 percent from last week. It's SmackDown's highest rating in that category since September 23.

SmackDown finished second on television, and topped all English-language programming, with a 0.37 rating in the 18-34 demo.

As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown was up 7.6 percent in overall viewers and up 3.6 percent in 18-49.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for weeks where SmackDown aired on Fox, along with the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's show was up 1.6 percent in overall viewers and up 9.4 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
