Overnight viewership for last night's Throwback edition of SmackDown saw the show average 2.157 million viewers on Fox, up 12.2 percent from last week's episode that went against night two of the NFL Draft. It's the largest week-to-week increase SmackDown has had on Fox since moving to the channel in October 2019.
Last night's overnight viewership number was the highest for SmackDown since January 29, which was the Royal Rumble go-home show.
It wasn't enough to lift SmackDown out of last place among network shows for total audience as everything else was over 2.7 million. The audience was consistent throughout, averaging 2.147 million viewers in hour one and rising 0.9 percent to 2.166 million in the second hour.
In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.6 overnight rating, up 20 percent from last week. With the exception of Christmas night, that matched the highest overnight rating SmackDown has drawn in the demo since November 6. It beat everything else on the networks last night.
SmackDown also finished first on the networks in 18-34, drawing a 0.4 rating. That's up 33.3 percent from last week and, aside from the Christmas night episode that followed NFL football, it matched the best overnight mark in the demo in over a year.
Year-over-year, SmackDown was up 5.7 percent in overnight viewership. It was also up 20 percent in 18-49 and up 33.3 percent in 18-34.
