Friday night's WWE SmackDown, which featured an appearance by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, averaged 2.129 million viewers on Fox, down 0.6 percent from the previous week.

It's the smallest audience for SmackDown since June 10. SmackDown finished sixth out of eight shows on the major networks in terms of total viewers on Friday night.

SmackDown drew a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 4.1 percent from the prior week. SmackDown did top all English-language programming in the 18-49 and 18-34 demos on Friday, only trailing a show on Univision for the top spot on TV.

This was also the lowest 18-49 demo rating for SmackDown since June 10.

As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown was up 7.2 percent in total viewers but down 2.1 percent in the 18-49 demo.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo numbers for SmackDown. This week's show was up 4.9 percent in viewers and even in 18-49 as compared with the recent averages.

I realized I had downloaded this but forgotten to watch it. I didn't really mind Liv with the belt but the whole "you deserve it" and jumpy/happy Liv thing is really cringe-worthy, can't wait for her to drop it.

I enjoyed that chops segment with Marcel and Walter, but I hope they're not splitting up.

Right now it almost looks like they gonna make Ludwig cost GUNTHER the title. Maybe not at the next opportunity, but sometime down the road. I'm pretty sure WWE stay loyal to their ways and split them up soon. Wouldn't surprise me if they already think about "refurbishing" GUNTHER.

And yea, of course they kill Face-Lacey. She's pretty much a natural heel and sob-story Face-builds simply don't work, if it's nothing more than telling some family stories and stories about hardships over weeks.

...in other news, Theory grows on me from show to show. Finally he got a promo in with some bite to it. I do hope they continue this path and not revert back to their usual chicken-shit heel routine.

I hope Liv gets an alright Title run from creative and that she's not gonna get thrown aside as soon as she's dropping the belt again... but they have to give her something she can actually propel from. I'm not sure what's up with Ronda's contract/appearances, but I can see WWE pull some bull like having that Triple Threat at Summerslam, with Liv "getting" away with the belt and then continue to focus on Natalya vs. Ronda for Clash at the Castle or even Extreme Rules. Probably not very likely, but it would fit WWE being WWE, with their semi-consequential booking of Champions.
