Friday night's Fourth of July weekend edition of SmackDown averaged 1.861 million viewers on Fox, down 5.6 percent from last week.
It was the lowest viewership for the show so far in 2021 and the second-lowest viewership that a SmackDown episode has ever drawn on Fox, beating only the episode from one year ago this week. Both shows occurred on the Fourth of July holiday weekend, which was likely the reason for the very low numbers.
In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.48 rating, down 11.1 percent from the previous week. It was SmackDown's second-lowest number in that category of 2021, beating only the May 14 episode of the show.
One notable thing about the ratings was that in the males 35-49 category, SmackDown actually had lower viewership than AEW Dynamite did last Wednesday night. SmackDown had 208,000 viewers in that category as compared to 215,000 for Dynamite.
Year-over-year, SmackDown was up 4.7 percent in overall viewers and up 20 percent in 18-49.
Here's a look at the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo numbers for SmackDown, along with the 10-week average in both categories:
