Even though they started the rumble together they still had minimal interaction. Jey deserves that mania pop dethroning Gunther. It’s the perfect storm right now. No one gives a fuck about Jimmy

Then why put them on opposite brands?
I’m not saying it won’t eventually happen. But the better story is to wait and have Jimmy’s jealousy of Jey getting solo gold drive him insane and have a real build.

I think they do Jimmy vs Jey at Mania too. No I do not think it's the best story, yes I think they do it anyway. I don't think they see Jey as the star I do at all

Tbh being on separate brands makes it easier to hold the match off until Mania. If they were on the same show, it’s why they aren’t they interacting more? Remember, Jimmy already cost him tag gold.. and singles gold(the match with Roman) if he does it AGAIN, perfect reason for Jey to want Jimmy.

Now if Sheamus beats Gunther at Mania I'll change my mind and say it was for the best tho. But rn I think it should be Jey too, but I feel like they'll just have Jimmy cost the match on a Raw. Probably have someone mention to Jimmy that he's a disappointment bc jey has a singles title match the SmackDown before and thats all the build before he shows up and costs Jey

the lack of reaction for them starting 1 and 2 together I think could have them second guessing too. But I think that was just bc the rumble crowd didn't care for anything except surprised, Cody, and Punk and sat on their hands the rest of the show
