I don't even put much into it being done to quieten the Vince noise either because if anything all it does is make it more obvious that's what your attempting to do by waving Rock/Roman in our faces.

Legit just think they wobbled when the Brock stuff came out even though losing that match on it's own isn't a big deal but then they panicked after Punk got injured and realised they lost two huge matches. Sami has zero momentum, Drew is in an amazing place as a character but you can't do him if his deal running out and I can't say i'm a fan of them doing Gunther/Seth as champion vs champion.

I do think Punk’s injury played a part in the change. Simply based off the fact that Cody was screaming “I want you, Roman Reigns” once he won the Rumble. Even the announcers were like, it’s obvious who Cody is choosing.

Either way, this sucks for the guy. And the fans are showing their disapproval. Can WM40 get a WM30 turnaround? I don’t know.

But I do know the last time Roman Reigns and The Rock were on a big stage together in Philadelphia, they were getting booed outta the building

I saw people on twitter trying to defend this by saying if Roman beats Rock and Cody beats Roman at Summerslam or Saudi then it propels Cody even more.

I don’t think that’s true at all. I think Cody is in his 2004 John Cena era where the company needs to decide if he’s the guy moving forward. Back then they ran with Cena but with Cody, they’re dangling the carrot in front of his face

I get what they're going for because of Roman beating Rock, but Cody winning at Mania is the ultimate coronation. He's still very much the guy, just not officially crowned I guess.

Fwiw I do think the plan seemed to be Cody vs Roman and Punk vs Seth at Mania, but then Punk got hurt so I think that played a part in it but that turns to be wrong then I’ll walk that back. The whole thing still stinks however you look at it though.

Agreed that the women had a great night. I thought the Bayley stuff was good and Tiffy’s debut was great.
