Friday night's WWE SmackDown averaged 2.303 million viewers on Fox, up 7.5 percent from the previous week. It's the best audience for the show since the September 10 episode that took place from Madison Square Garden.
In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.52 rating, up four percent from the previous week. That's SmackDown's highest demo rating so far in December, and the show led all network programming in the key demo. SmackDown tied an NBA game on ESPN for the highest 18-49 number on all of television.
SmackDown also led the networks with a 0.32 rating in the 18-34 demo but was third overall on television behind two NBA games. That rating was up 6.7 percent from the previous week.
Last year, SmackDown aired on FS1 for this week, so year-over-year comparisons are not really valid.
As compared to the 10-week averages prior to this week, as shown in the chart below, this week's SmackDown was up 7.8 percent in overall viewers but down 5.5 percent in 18-49.
